Vidor Pirates meet Chapel Hill Bulldogs in bi-district playoff game Friday in Humble

The Vidor Pirates, #1 seed in District 10-4A, will travel to Humble Friday to take on the Chapel Hill Bulldogs, District 9-4A fourth place finisher in a bi-district playoff game. The game will be held at George Turner Stadium 1700 Wilson Rd, Humble, TX 77396. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Penalties and injuries big factor in Pirates 13-7 loss to Falcons

Following the Vidor Pirates 13-7 loss to the Huffman Hargrave Falcons Friday their record is 7-1 on the season, 3-1 in district and they remain at the top of the heap in District 10-4A.

Lady Pirates fall 3-0 in playoffs

The Vidor Lady Pirates (19-25, 6-6) varsity volleyball team finished fourth in District 22-4A, earning a playoff spot against District 21-4A first place finisher Huffman-Hargrave (23-4, 7-0) in a bi-district playoff game.

Reed qualifies for State Meet

Andrew Fawcett, left, Kai Reed, right, participated in the Regional Cross Country meet with Reed qualifying for the state meet later this week. Regional Cross Country results Kai Reed, 2nd place with a time of 16:23, Andrew Fawcett 18th place with a time of 17:46. This race had 176 runners.

King Fisher ruled an outlaw empire

King Fisher entered the state penitentiary on Oct. 30, 1870 to do a five-year stretch for housebreaking. But the governor took pity on the 16 year old convict and granted him a full pardon after only four months behind bars.

Lady Pirates split with Orangefield

The Vidor Lady Pirate volleyball teams played the Orangefield Lady Bobcats Friday at Pirate Gym with the Freshmen losing 2-1. Scores were 23-25, 25-23, 11-25. The Lady Pirate junior varsity won in two with scores of 25-22, 30-29. The Lady Pirate varsity lost in three 22-25, 14-25, 21-25.

Lady Pirate volleyball results

The Vidor Lady Pirate volleyball teams played West Orange Stark Tuesday 10/12 and LCM Friday 10/15 with mixed results. The junior varsity defeated West Orange in two Tuesday 25-7, 25-8. Varsity defeated the Lady Mustangs in three, 25-20, 25-14, 25-13.
