George Marshall Ferguson - Husband, Dad, Papaw, Poppy, Brother, Uncle, Neighbor and Friend - passed away after a two-week struggle with COVID pneumonia. He was 83. He could make toothpicks jump, knock a quarter through the table and make washers disappear.

Peggy Lou Haizlip, 82, of Vidor, TX, died Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Vidor. She loved fishing and spending time with her family. Cremation arrangements are entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Darren Len Doiron, 59, of Warren, died Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at his home. He was a longtime resident of Vidor but has lived in Warren for the past year. He loved cars in general, but especially building them. He was a very talented mechanic who could fix anything having to do with motors.

RAY ERNEST EDGE

Ray Ernest Edge, 72, of Vidor, Texas, died Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor, TX. Ray was a longtime resident of Orange and was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange. He served his country in the United States Marines Corps for 20 years.

BARBARA JEANNE TRUMBLE

Barbara Jeanne Trumble, 87, of Vidor, TX passed from this life to her heavenly home on August 13, 2021. She was born to the late Karl and Dorothy Law on May 25, 1934 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She married the late Everett Trumble on September 22, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Delores Ann Gilbreath, 78, of Vidor, died Sunday, August 15th, 2021 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Vidor. She was a great homemaker who loved going to garage sales and looking for antiques but most importantly loved spending time with her family and kids.

Lillie P. Mott, 82 of Vidor died Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Brookeland, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Lillie attended New Beginnings Church in Evadale, TX.

EDRIE "E.R." ROOT JR.

Edrie Elmo Root Jr., 78, of Vidor died Wednesday, August 11th, 2021, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. He was a lifetime resident of Vidor and a member of Central Baptist Church, he retired from being a truck driver for Transit Mix for 30 years. He loved to go fishing.

Linda Sue Placker, 80, of Vidor, died Monday, August 16th, 2021, at Ardin Place in Beaumont, TX. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and enjoyed shopping and spending time with family. She also had two dogs that she loved dearly.
