John Robert Haizlip, 88, of Vidor, died Sunday, February 28th, 2021 at his home. He was a longtime resident of Vidor. He loved being a tugboat operator, collecting random things, doing yardwork, and spending time with his family.

Hank Carlson Gill, 69, of Buna, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his home. He has been living in Buna but lived in Clearlake, TX previously. He retired as a selfemployed carpenter. He loved collecting coins, all competitive sports, and spending time with his family.

Ruby Katherine Jedry, 100, of Gist, died Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Gist. She was a honorary member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor and a longtime member of New Cherry Grove Baptist church in Gist.

Robert Lee Viator Sr.

Robert Lee Viator Sr., 81, of Vidor, died Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at his residence. He was a longtime resident of Vidor and attended Turning Point Church in Vidor. He was a Longshoreman at the Port of Beaumont for 30 years and was elected to the VISD School Board in 1977.

Norma Shanks, 64 of Vidor died Sunday, February 28th, 2021 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital of Beaumont, TX. A native of Monticello, MS, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Norma was a nurses aid at Oakwood Nursing Home and she enjoyed cooking. Norma loved the color purple.
