Ruby Katherine Jedry, 100, of Gist, died Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Gist. She was a honorary member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor and a longtime member of New Cherry Grove Baptist church in Gist. She loved sewing, gardening, reading her bible, and was a devout Christian. Visitation for Ruby will begin Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor and the graveside service will begin at 2:00 pm at Linscomb Cemetery in Orange. She is survived by her son Willis B. Jedry Jr. of Gist, TX, daughters Brenda Jean Barbour of Vidor, TX, Shyrlen Lynn Gillis of Mauriceville, TX, Bonita Gwyn Jedry-Allen of Vidor, TX, Debrah Kay Trant of Baytown, TX, brother Beamus Martin Ward of Gist, TX, sister Delores Thompson of San Diego, CA, 5 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. The family has requested that everyone who attends the services for Ruby will please follow covid guidelines and wear masks.
