Proposed County tax rate is $0.58648 per $100 valuation

The Orange County Commissioners’ Court set a proposed 2020-2021 Ad valorem property tax rate of $0.58648 per $100 valuation during their special court meeting held last week on Tuesday.

Armed robber pulls gun on clerk

An unidentified man walked into a South Vidor convenience store and pulled a gun on the store clerk and demanded money late last Thursday night. The man made off with an undisclosed amount of money, but no one was hurt during the alleged criminal incident.

Fatal collision victim identified

The unknown fatality victim of a late night automobile/pedestrian collision reported in the July 29, 2020 edition of The Vidor Vidorian has been identified as a Beaumont resident reported as missing by his family.

Vidor I.S.D. plans to mitigate COVID-19 on campuses

As the Vidor I.S.D. schools prepare for students to return to their classrooms, teachers and staff are taking additional measures to insure that traditional inschool classroom instruction proceeds safely with COVID-19 prevention measures in place in every classroom in the school district.

Pride and Progress distressed properties for sale
