First day of school adapts to Coronavirus

The first day of “in the classroom” instruction for Vidor I.S.D. students was different from previous year’s first days of school, but children quickly adapted to COVID-19 protocols.

Sheriff says child death is still under investigation

“We are still waiting for the preliminary result of the autopsy before we can know for sure how the child died,” said Orange County Sheriff Lane Mooney on Monday of this week. The Sheriff was referring to a tragedy that occurred on F.M. 105 North just north of F.M.

School Board considering tax rate decrease

The Vidor I.S.D. School Board of Trustees was presented with a proposed 2020-2021 Vidor I.S.D. School District budget last week and with it, the possibility of decreasing the Vidor I.S.D Ad Valorem tax rate. It looks like the School Board will be presented a proposed 2020-2020 Vidor I.S.D.
