Firemen battle pre-dawn house fire on Ellis Lane

On the morning of October 3, 2022, at approximately 5:12 AM, OCESD#1 was requested for service due to a structure fire. Fire crews arrived on scene in the 300 Block of Ellis Lane to find a single-story structure home that was fully involved. Fire crews deployed one 1.

Close call

An unidentified motorist had a close call recently when a herd of deer came at his car on a highway in southern Michigan. One of the agile stags avoided a collision by easily leaping over the vehicle.
