House fire on Longleaf ruled accidental

On the morning of October 6, 2022, at approximately 4:27 PM, OCESD#1 was requested for service due to a structure fire. Fire crews arrived on scene in the 1000 Block of Longleaf St, to find a two-story home with light smoke showing. Fire crews located a small fire in the garage of the home.

Pirate Stadium hosting Fields of Faith Wednesday

Fields of Faith will be held Wednesday, October 12 at Pirate Stadium. Gates open at 6:15 and the event starts at 7:00. This is a nationwide event where thousands of people gather on their athletic field for a peer-to peer event.

Golfing for gold

Drowning investigated

At approximately 12:45 p.m. Monday October 3rd 2022, the Orange County Sheriff ’s Office received a call of a female that was found unresponsive in a pool at a home near the intersection of Tulane and Atkinson Circle in Orange. Deputies and first responders arrived on the scene and performed CPR.
