Gary Lynn Porter, 65, a beloved resident of Vidor, died on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at his home. Known for his dedication to his community, he leaves behind a legacy of compassion and service. As a longtime resident of Vidor, Gary made a lasting impact through his volunteer work at the Christian Care Center, where he selflessly served those in need. His commitment to helping others extended beyond his volunteer work, as he was known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Gary is survived by his daughters, Amber Winchester of Vidor, TX; Karen Mangan of Lacey, WA; Krista Spoonemore of Sulphur, LA; and Emalie Jones of Vidor, TX. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Charlotte Verrett of Beaumont, TX; his brother Doug Porter of Beaumont, TX; and his sister Cindy Porter of Beaumont, TX, and 6 grandchildren.
