VPIFA season now underway

The Vidor Pirate Intermediate Football Academy’s season got underway Saturday with a full slate of away games. At home this Saturday at the VFW Fields on South Main, Games start at 9 a.m with the Flag Division and higher Divisions following at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Loyal Vidor Pirate fans turned out in droves to see an intrasquad scrimmage at Pirate Stadium in spite of temperatures in the 90’s with humidity to match. Masks and social distancing were apparent on the field and in the stands as TEA, UIL and CDC mandate and guidelines were in force.
