It was a rough week for the Lady Pirate basketball team last week as they began the second half of the season facing district leaders Orangefield and Silsbee. Hosting Orangefield Tuesday, varsity lost to Orangefield 53 – 21.

2022 Lady Pirate softball kicks off

Lady Pirate softball will open the 2022 season with a scrimmage Saturday at Kirbyville with a junior varsity scrimmage at 10 a.m. and varsity following at 11:30. District play opens March 8 at home versus Orangefield.

In their final first half game of the 2022 season, the Vidor Pirates hosted the LCM Bears at Pirate Gym Tuesday before Friday’s bye. The Bears took the lead early and maintained it throughout the evening, winning 53-34.

Lumberton 77 Vidor 73 Final/3OT The Pirates and Raiders fought tooth and nail for four quarters and three overtimes before the game was decided in Lumberton’s favor. Vidor Head Boys Basketablal Coach Nate Smith summed it up.

Vidor 49 Lumberton 14. Vidor junior varsity Pirates dominate Lumberton at home Tuesday. A six point lead at halftime exploded into a 35 point win at home Tuesday.. A 17-11 lead at halftime blew up with a Pirate 32-3 in the second half to fuel a 49-14 Pirate win.

Lady Pirate soccer season underway

Lady Pirate soccer season is underway with varsity and junior varsity taking on their Cleveland counterparts Tuesday. The Lady Pirate junior varsity won 4-0 against Cleveland. Two Lady Pirates accounted for all four goals said Coach Ciera Tinkle.
