Pirates fall to Silsbee 1-0 in opener

The Vidor Pirate varsity soccer team hosted the Silsbee Tigers Tuesday to open district play and after a defensive battle, a late score by Silsbee resulted in a 1-0 loss for Vidor. In Friday’s game at Lumberton, neither team managed to find the back of the net and the game ended in a scoreless tie.

The Vidor Lady Pirates varsity soccer team opened district play Tuesday, hosting the Lady Tigers of Silsbee. At the end of play, Vidor emerged victorious, 9-1.

Pirates fall to BC 65-63 in OT

It was a thrilling game from start to finish, but in the end, the BC Cardinals had chipped away at the Pirate lead to end regulation play in a tie and went on t win 65-63 in overtime.

Pirates drop games to Orangefield, Silsbee

The Vidor Pirate varsity basketball team played in Orangefield Tuesday and hosted Silsbee Friday with losses at each venue. The Tuesday score was Orangefield 56 Vidor 39.
