Joseph Lawrence Martel, Sr., 90, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.
A native of Church Point, LA., Joseph was a longtime resident of Vidor before moving to Beaumont in 2017. Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joseph was a retired operator from Mobil Oil, and spent most of his free time gardening.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the funeral home.
Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph L. Martel, Jr and daughter, Ruth Denise McDaniel of Vidor, brother, Michael Martel of Beaumont, sisters, Bertha Martel, and Barbara Martel, 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
