James “Sandy” H. Kirkland III, a cherished member of the Vidor community, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8th, 2024, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was 75 years old. Affectionately known as “Sandy,” he was a longtime resident of Vidor, where he touched the lives of many through his kindness and generosity. Throughout his life, Sandy found joy in traveling and capturing the beauty of the world through his camera lens. His passion for photography allowed him to create lasting memories and share them with those around him. Sandy had a giving spirit and took pleasure in brightening the lives of others through the thoughtful gifts he bestowed upon them. Sandy will be deeply missed by his children, Michelle Mooney of Vidor, TX, Keith Kirkland of Vidor, TX, and Kevin Kirkland Sr. of Vidor, TX. He will also be fondly remembered by his 6 grandchildren.
