Vidor Police Investigate Kidnapping

The Vidor Police Department is investigating an alleged kidnapping that occurred just after Christmas. According a VPD release, on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 7:42 PM, the Vidor Police Department Dispatch Center received a call of a possible kidnapping victim in the 900 block of N. Main.

Another season has arrived in SETX, winter- scarcely announced but heralding much cooler temperatures and hopefully increased rainfall! There are but a few days remaining for 2023 as the year is rapidly approaching its end.

With 2023 coming to an end and 2024 approaching, it is appropriate to both look back on 2023 as we also look forward to 2024, after all, January is named for the Roman deity Janus, the god of beginnings and ends and is often depicted as two-faced, looking both forward and backward.

Vidor City Council will hear a request for annexation of an almost 14 -acre tract of land just east of the current city limits at the intersection of FM 1132 and IH-10 at their January 11 regular meeting. A truck stop, store and franchise eateries are planned for the site.

Man killed after accident when truck enters Neches

A Vidor man was killed after his truck hit an embankment and entered the Neches River A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) release stated DPS Troopers investigated the crash on Four Oaks Road, near Loving Drive at the Neches River,that occurred Friday, December 22.
