DPS Recognizes Human Trafficking Prevention Month

AUSTIN –Throughout January, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is reminding Texans to be vigilant and educate themselves about the dangers of human trafficking as part of Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $4.1 Billion in December

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.1 billion in December, 1 percent more than in December 2023. The majority of December sales tax revenue is based on sales made in November and remitted to the agency in December.

Vidor sets new hours for municipal court

Vidor Municipal Court will observe new hours beginning Thursday, January 9, 2025. The court lobby in city hall will be open and phones will be answered 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Friday, the lobby will be closed and phones will not be answered.
