On April 29, 2021 Orange PD detectives with the assistances from Beaumont PD and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant for Manka Melson for the January 23, 2021 homicides of Aaliyah Gradnigo and Thalamus Livings.

Runoff set in Vidor mayor race, Ward 1 a squeaker

Zebra Mussels detected at Lake Brownwood

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has detected invasive zebra mussels at Lake Brownwood in the Colorado River Basin, southeast of Abilene. Zebra mussel larvae were detected in plankton samples collected at two sites approximately three miles apart at Lake Brownwood in November.
