Monday, Speaker Dade Phelan, a Beaumont Republican, announced he will seek re-election to House District 21 in the Texas House of Representatives. The district covers Jefferson and Orange Counties in Southeast Texas. Speaker Phelan was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2014.
