Vidor tax exemptions unchanged

The Vidor City Council met Thursday and approved retaining the current property tax exemptions of 20 percent of appraised value, the maximum allowed by state law and $15,000 for over 65 homeowners and $15,000 for disabled homeowners.

Vidor ISD trustee positions expiring

In the Vidor ISD trustee election, Trustee positions 1, 3, 4 and 5 are expiring. Currently Kimberly Crossley holds Position 1 and was appointed to fill an unexpired term. Position 3 is held by David Camp, Position 4 is held by Gina VanDevender and Position 5 incumbent is Mike Marion.
