Sunday wasn’t a day of rest for firefighters of the OCESD#1 with calls to respond to two separate house fires. ESD#1 Fire Chief Robert L. Smith said that on March 23, at approximately 2:51a.m., OCESD#1 was called for service due to a structure fire in the 1700 block of Aloha, near the fire station.

Vidor High School’s Pirate Players performed their 2025 One Act Play, Little Women by Kate Hamill, at Lufkin’s Angelina College Temple Theatre Tuesday and earned the right to advance to Area competition April 11 at Panola College in Carthage.
