Orange County Convicted Felon Guilty of Federal Firearms Violation

A Vidor man has pleaded guilty to a federal firearms violation in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston today. Job Allen Smith, 49, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a prohibited personjo before U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone.

VISD student faces 3rd Degree Felony charge for making online threat

A 13-year-old Vidor ISD student is facing 3rd Degree Felony charges after allegedly making a threatening social media post Friday night through Snapchat, according to information provided by Capt. Joey Jacobs with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The new Oak Forest Elementary opened to rave reviews from the public and students following an open house held last Thursday and the return of students and teachers Monday.

Colombian Edward Hernandez recently surrendered his Guinness World Record title to Azerbeijanian Afshin Ghaderzadeh, says the Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC]. What is the title, you ask? It turns out that Ghaderzadeh is 2.7 inches shorter than the former record holder.
