City seeking applicants for Ward 5 council position

The City of Vidor is seeking qualified candidates for the Ward 5 council seat after current Ward 5 council member Gary Herrera submitted his resignation earlier this year. Herrera will continue to serve until an appointment to the Ward 5 seat is made.

Snapshot Day, the biannual reporting of enrollment that determines a school district’s classification such as 3A,4A, etc., was reported last week and based on the Vidor ISD’s numbers, it is likely Vidor will remain in 4A.
