Pirates Escapades talent contest winners were Overall: Ellis Prudhomme with a vocal solo, Senior Division first place Rory Welborn's dance solo, second place Agents J K & L percussion trio, and third place Damion Davis and Shepard Rowe dance/vocal duet.

Vidor Academic UIL Competition

Vidor students from the middle school and junior high competed in Academic UIL recently.

TAFE -Texas Association of Future Educators Advance to the National Competition

VHS Texas Association of Future Educators competed in the state TAFE competition. Skyler Watkins Christine Rodgers, Madi Brinkley and Allison Smith qualified for Nationals in Elementary Interactive Bulletin Boards.

Vidor ISD District Spelling Bee

Participants in the Vidor ISD District Spelling Bee were Rees Anderson (5th grade), Brett Sellers (Pine Forest), Brodie Ferguson (6th grade), Sam Works (Oak Forest), and Larissa Jackson (Vidor Elementary). The bee was held on March 11 at Vidor Elementary.

To my husband Charles Wayne Jenkins. I miss him so much. He passed away December 17, 2019. Our anniversary is March 17. We were married 25 years. He is the love of my life. He loved me so much and I love him very very much. He was a good husband to me. He was a good stepfather to Micheil & Shane.

CTE Students of the Month

Congrats to the February Career Tech "Students of the Month," Halee Prisock and Ethan Crumley. Halee is in the CTE program of Cosmetology and Ethan is in Welding and Criminal Justice. Both students have a great attitude and are team players within their classes.

PF spelling bee

Pine Forest spelling bee winners were second place: Vinnie Hudson, third place: Sabrie Williamson, and first place: Brett Sellers. Brett will move on to compete in the Vidor ISD bee on March 11th. Twenty-three fourth graders competed in the bee.
