July 7, 2011: The unincorporated areas of Orange County have been under a burn ban continuously since the middle of April. The City of Vidor has also ceased to issue burn permits to burn trash within the city’s limits since that time. Precinct #3 Commissioner John DuBose indicated that it does not appear that the ban will be lifted anytime soon.
