Early voting begins in party primaries

And so it begins again. Another election year is upon us as is witnessed by the yard signs you might see, wherever you drive. In just two weeks, on Tuesday, March 6th, you will be asked to go to your neighborhood polling place and fill out a ballot to nominate your political party’s candidates for an election that won’t happen until November. These are the Texas Primaries.


Primaries are strange as no one is elected to any governmental office in the primaries. The only thing that is won in a Primary Election is the right to have your name appear on November’s ballot as your party’s nominee for that race’s elective office.
