The Orange County Commissioners’ Court has authorized some repairs to the flood damaged Raymond Gould Community Center building in Raymond Gould Park on Claiborne Street in Vidor. The Court authorized insurance claim money to be spent to begin phase one of repairs to the Community Center building in Vidor in order to make it, at least, usable for Early Voting that is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 20th.

According to Orange County Precinct #2 Commissioner Barry Burton, the Court was asking the “Buy Board” contractor to go in and repair the building’s electrical system, put in wall insulation and at least hang and tape drywall so that the Center can be used for Early Voting starting three week from today.
