TXDOT Commissioners approve $34.2 million for Vidor loop

Last week the five commissioners of the Texas Department of Transportation voted to approve the authorization of up to $34.2 million in Pass Through/Toll Programs funds for reimbursement to local agencies who subsidize the construction of F.M. 299, the so-called Vidor Loop.

According to Orange County Precinct #4 Commissioner Jody Crump, who attended the TXDOT Commissioners’ meeting in Austin on Thursday, the TXDOT commissioners voted to officially move the F.M. 299 project from the alternate Pass Through/Toll Program funding list to the actual Pass Through/Toll Program funding list.
