Fishing after Cindy could be more challenging

By Capt. Bill Watkins

Just what we need. A tropical storm named Cindy. As if we have not had enough fresh water in Sabine Lake already this year. Oh well, it is what it is and here it comes. It looks like it is coming right up through Sabine Pass. Hopefully the passage of the storm will be swift and not hang up and dump ten inches of water into the Sabine River watershed.

Also, let’s hope that the wind will not be too bad and cause a lot of damage to homes and property. It is Wednesday night and it is pouring down outside right now and the wind is beginning to rise. After hurricanes Rita and Ike, I get nervous every time someone mentions “tropical depression”.
