On October 17, 2020 Bobby Gene Rozas, loving father and grandfather, passed away at age 87. He was born on October 20, 1932, in Chataignier, Louisiana.

Bobby G. Rozas was a positive leader for change in Vidor and Beaumont, Texas. Bobby's numerous contributions and leadership were always a driving force for compassion, justice and generosity for humanity. Bobby Rozas aspired to live by "It's always the right time to do the right thing."

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Marianne Rozas; children, Jennie Rozas,

Julie Chargois and her husband, Cody, Justin Rozas, Chris Rozas, Goldman Rozas, Nicole Rozas and Beau Rozas and his wife, Melanie; grandchildren, Bobby Lee and his wife, Mindy; Joan Trahan and her husband, Toby; Graham Carter; Samantha Pool and her husband, Joshua; Stephanie Rozas; Grace Rozas; Thad Rozas and his wife, Jamie; Lisa Chargois; and Taylor Rozas; great-grandchildren, Noah Trahan, Jonah Trahan, Emma Trahan, Isabella Pool, Liam Pool, Ethan Pool, Dawson Pool, Owen Beard, and Gemma Rozas; brother, Shorty Rozas and his wife, Heartsease; and brother-in-law, Floyd Soileau.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jennie and Goldman Rozas and sister Billie Soileau.

Bobby and Marianne were also considered honorary grandparents at Saint Anthony School to all students and staff in Beaumont, Texas.

The family would like to thank the staff at Vidor Health and Rehabilitation for all their dedicated care and love given to our father.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.

A Rosary for Mr. Rozas will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends to follow, Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson Street, Beaumont, and his entombment, with military honors, will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
