This is not a freshly waxed corridor. These floors at the A.I.M. Center are covered with about a half-inch of standing Imelda floodwater on the Friday after the storm last September. Yes, the water is standing from baseboard to baseboard in this A.I.M. Center hallway and was probably deeper during the height of the flood.

Vidor Rotary Club President Gayle Nagai presented a check for $1000 to Pastor David Barton of First United Methodist Church. The funds, provided by the Rotary Club of New Braunfels, will be utilized to repair the floors at FUMC damaged in Imelda. The church is widely used by the community for not only Rotary meetings, but Mothers Day Out, TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), Boy Scout Troop 220, Al Anon, and other organizations.
