Debris piles like this one in Pine Forest numbered in the thousands in Orange County following the floods of Hurricane Harvey. It took the county nearly a year to pick them all up at a huge cost to the county. FEMA has recently reimbursed Orange County another $2.5 million for those costs.

Hope Pridgen and Gaven Brown were recently crowned Miss Merry Christmas and Mr. Saint Nick at the annual Jingle Bell Ball. The winter formal is typically held the first Saturday of December and this year was no different although the first Saturday was December 1st.

Vidor Masonic Lodge #1286 delivered Dental Kits to first graders at Vidor Elementary and Oak Forest. The five Masonic Lodges in District #25-A assembled over 1300 dental kits furnished by the Masonic Home and School. These dental kits will be delivered to all first grade students in Orange County, Evadale and Deweyville schools. Oak Forest students are pictured at left with their teacher Mrs Holcomb.
