As the Pirates finish up the first leg of the season … and start the second leg, there is definitely a momentum shift for the Pirates. February 10, the Pirates traveled to play the Central Jaguars. This was a rough game from the beginning.

This afternoon at Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, Marvis Brown, All-District tackle for the Battlin’ Bears, signed to play football with Texas Southern University. Marvis is joined by mom and dad, Beth and Marvis Brown, sister and brother, Alia and Kollyn Brown, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Randy Crouch and Offensive Line Coach Chris Pachuca.

Bear Iron takes first, second

Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School’s Powerlifting team, Bear Iron, took top scores at the Silsbee meet on Thursday, February 5. The Boys team finished in First Place, with 50 points and the Girls team won Second with 32 points. The lifters compete in three events, squat, bench press and deadlift to accumulate a total for the meet.

Vidor Pirates lost to Ozen Panther last Tuesday night

Vidor Pirates traveled to Ozen to play Ozen on 02/03/15. The game was delayed for nearly 20 minutes waiting for a referee, once he arrived it was kickoff time. Pirates started strong with great defensive play and strong goalkeeping.

Lady Pirate soccer team undefeated

Madison, #9, & Macy, #20, Chilton

The Lady Pirate varsity soccer team is 8-0-3 for the season. In district standings they are 3-0 with wins over Nederland, Baytown Lee and Ozen. In the 2-1 win at Nederland, Kaylie Powell and Madison Chilton scored and Madison Brasher made the assists.
