Ruth Louise Clark

Ruth Louise Clark, 83, of Starks, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Westwood Manor Nursing Home in DeRidder surrounded by Jasmyn Gray and Tania Gray. She was born to parents, Frank and Grace Gibson in Starks, LA on May 6, 1934. She worked for many years at Southwestern Bell in Beaumont, TX. She was proud of her grandchildren and loved them very much. She is survived by her daughter, Tania Gray; one brother, Dennis Gibson; one sister, Betty West, all of Starks; two grandsons, Justin Gray, Derek Gray; along with five great grandchildren, Jasmyn Gray, Josselynn Gray, Jassidy Gray, Dysin Gray, and Trystin Gray, all of Vidor, TX. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Clark; her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Gibson, Shorty Gibson; five sisters, Billie Hyatt, Edna Dean, Margaret Martinez, Mary Lucille Barnes, and Ann “Pee Wee” Marbell Weider.

Charles “Charlie” Allen Young

Charlie Young, 63 of Vidor died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Vidor Health and Rehab Center. A native of Silsbee, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. He played bass in Crossfire band for many years and was a machinist at Texas Mill Works in Beaumont. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He is survived by his sister Margaret Naquin of Vidor.

Glynn Camille Richard Smith

Glynn Camille Richard Smith, 89 of Vidor died Thursday, February 8th, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Montgomery, Texas. A native of Mermentau, Louisiana, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Glynn was a member of First Baptist Church Vidor and was an active member in church activities. She was an Executive Secretary for the Department of Psychology at the Beaumont Neurological Center. Visitation began at 1:00 pm and the funeral service was at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial following at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Glynn is survived by her daughters Brenda Faye Smith of Montgomery, TX, Donna Nevils Cusimano of Lake Las Vegas, NV, Constance Marie Smith of Vidor, TX, and two grandsons, Michael Louis Cusimano of San Diego, Ca and Andrew James Tynes Cusimano of Fairfield, Ca.

Velda Kay Fabriguze

On February 6, 2018, Velda Kay Fabriguze gained her wings and is now in Heaven. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was born on September 23, 1960, in Port Arthur, TX. She married her wonderful husband Harvey Fabriguze on November 10, 1997 and they resided in Beaumont, TX. She worked at J C Penney for nineteen years where she later retired. She was a faithful member of Eastgate UPC in Vidor, TX. She is survived by her husband Harvey Fabriguze; parents Eugene and Nylotis Goudeau; Sister, Susie Franz; children Sonnie Fabriguze, Eugene Goudeau, Christina Goudeau, Christopher Rayley, Brandon Fabriguze, and Brandy Fabriguze; g r a n d c h i l d r e n ; Savannah Rayley, Jadice McWilliams, Emerald McWilliams, and Truli McWilliams; nieces and nephews; Roffie Franz, Jason McCullough, Larry and Jennifer Saucer, Aliya Saucer and Grayson Saucer.

James “Jimmy” Edward Smith Jr.

James “Jimmy” Edward Smith Jr., 66, of Vidor, TX died Friday, February 2nd, 2018 in Beaumont, TX. A native of Beaumont he was a longtime resident of Vidor and a graduate of Vidor High School’s class of 1969. Jimmy worked as a Pipe Fitter and tank inspector for many years and enjoyed reading in his spare time. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a Rosary service at 7:00p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Jimmy is survived by his mother; Lola Smith of Vidor, 1 daughter; Michelle Southern and her husband Ron of College Station, TX, 1 son; Jay Smith of Bryan, TX, 2 grandchildren; Andrew Cole and Taylor Southern, 1 sister; Mary LaPoint and her husband Jody of Vidor, and 2 nieces; Elizabeth Gray and Halie LaPoint. Lavern Bozeman, 72 of Vidor died Friday, February 9th, 2018 at Baptist Hospitals of Texas in Beaumont. Lavern was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. She was a homemaker. Visitation began at 6:00 pm Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 12, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Lavern was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Opal Bozeman, sister Genevieve Richard and brother Fred Allen Bozeman. She is survived by her siblings James Bozeman and his wife Joyce of Vidor, TX, Margaret Bozeman Shanks of Dayton, TX, and Barbara Portie of Tomball, TX.

Heaven Ray Perry Cox

Heaven Ray Perry Cox, 15, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 3, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2018, at Faith United Methodist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Keith Tilley. Burial will follow the service at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange. Born in Orange, Texas, on February 15, 2002, she was the daughter of Michael Ray Perry and Tammy Elaine Day Cox. Heaven was a very artistic girl who loved to paint, read, and write stories. She enjoyed being in the water and loved her horse and dogs. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Shannon Jenkins; brother, Dustin Cox; and grandfather, Tommy Day.

Julius LeDoux, Sr.

Julius “Vick” LeDoux, Sr., 87, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2018. Vick is survived by his loving wife, Patricia LeDoux, of Vidor; brother, Ronald “Rollo” LeDoux and wife Wanda, of Orangefield; children, Vickie Scales and husband Edward, of Orangefield, Tina Wise and husband Clay, of Mauriceville, Rebecca Ledford and husband Larry, of Orangefield, Julius LeDoux, Jr. and wife Diane, of Little Cypress, and Rose Marie Philpott, of Oklahoma; stepchildren, Tammy Reid, of Vidor, Chris Reid and wife Julie, of Vidor; along with many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren to remember him dearly. Vick was born in Basile, Louisiana on January 11, 1931, to Alexon LeDoux and Edna (Fusilier) LeDoux. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division and The Screaming Eagles. Vick retired from Pipefitters Local 195 and Boilermakers Local 587 after many loyal years.
