Debbie Stephenson

Debbie Laverne Stephenson, 63, Vidor, died Sunday, May 31, 2020. She was born on July 28, 1956, in Silsbee, to Merlene McClelland and Robert Gillespie. Debbie retired from Vidor Independent School District as the school nurse after many years of employment.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Stephenson, of Vidor; daughter, Teresa Rivera and her partner, George Tinsley, of Sulphur, Louisiana; son, Wayne Stephenson and his wife, Lisa, of Orange; sisters, Jeannie Gillespie of Kingwood and Deena Morris and her husband, Jack, of Warren; and grandchildren, Kori Rivera-Floyd and her husband, Blaine, of Beaumont; Cuatro Rivera of Vidor; Madeline Stephenson and Ella Stephenson, both of Orange.

Betty Jo Ladd, 81 of Vidor died Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at her residence. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Betty was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. She graduated from French High School and Chenier Business College in Beaumont. Betty was an Accountant for many years, but was a homemaker most of her life. She loved fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation took place 6:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor followed by burial at restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years Ronald Ladd of Vidor, TX, daughters Renee Ladd Bryant of Spring Hill, FL and Rhonda Sikes of Colfax, LA, son Randy Ladd of Kirbyville, TX, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Laura DeWitt, age 59, of Vidor, TX passed away at 6:28 AM on Sunday, May 31st, 2020 at St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 3, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Laura was born July 7th, 1960 in Beaumont, TX to the late John and Patricia Villafano. Laura is survived by her husband Daniel W. DeWitt, her sons; Matthew DeWitt, Joshua DeWitt, and Dyllon DeWitt, her daughters; Heather (Aaron) Wilson and Kimberli (Carlos) Trevino, her grandsons; Tyler DeWitt, Lazarus Wilson, Daniel DeWitt, and Dean DeWitt, and her granddaughters; Peyton Trevino, Natalie Wilson, Catalina Trevino, and Theda Trevino. Laura was a long time AT&T employee. Laura was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She believed in God. She will be missed till we meet again.

Gerald "Inky" Murdock, 77 of Vidor died Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Inky loved country music, especially George Jones. Visitation took place at 6:00 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. He was survived by his twin brother Jerry Murdock of Vidor, TX, sisters Carol Little of Nederland, TX, Wannette "Net" Elliott of Houston, TX.

Barbara J. LeMare, 82 of Vidor died Sunday, May 31st, 2020 at her residence. A native of James Town, Louisiana, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Barbara was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor and liked to be on the go. She retired from Pine Forest Elementary School were she worked in the cafeteria for 31+ years. Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also enjoyed flea marketing with her husband Billy. Visitation was at 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Charles "Red" Denvel Harrison, 89 of Vidor died Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence. A native of Chireno, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Red was a member of Christ's Community Church in Vidor. He loved to spend time with his family and fishing. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Visitation took place at 12:00 pm Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 30, 2020. Red is survived by his wife of 64 years Verna Harrison of Vidor, TX, daughters Glenda Gail Shaw of Vidor, TX, Debra Marlow of Vidor, TX, Barbara Thomas of South Fork, CO and Susie Carr of Pearland, TX, sister Helen Winzer of Winnie, TX, brother Harlan Harrison of Vidor, TX, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Alice Fay-Tucker Springfield, of Vidor, TX died Monday, May 18th, 2020 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, TX. Alice was a native of Beaumont and longtime resident of Vidor. She was a member of First Christian Church of Beaumont and loved dancing, working in her yard and shopping. Alice was very devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation was Thursday, May 21, 2020, 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A graveside service was held Friday, May 22, 2020 at Bean Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. in Kirbyville, TX followed by interment. Alice is survived by 1 daughter; Cheryl Springfield of Lumberton, TX, 2 sons; Gary “Chris” Springfield and his wife Becky of Mauriceville, TX and Kevin Springfield and his wife Tracy of Lumberton, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister; Kathy Watts and her husband Thomas of Nederland, TX and 1 brother; Jerry Tucker of Vidor.

Jimmy is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Croft of Vidor, TX and Beverly Dixon of Fannett, TX, 2 nieces and 1 nephews, 1 great niece and 2 great nephews.

Dorothy Inzer

Dorothy Lee Johnson Inzer, 93 of Vidor died Sunday, May 24th, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side . A native of Rayville, Louisiana, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Dorothy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Beaumont and was owner/operator of Vidor Florist since 1957. She loved flowers and working in the yard with her husband Eugene. Dorothy was a member of the Vidor Garden Club many years ago. She participated in the D.A.V. with Eugene and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the funeral service at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Dorothy is preceded in death by her Husband Eugene Inzer, parents Joe and Fannie Johnson, daughterin-law Carol Inzer,1 brother and 1 sister.
