John “Johnny” Dwain Goins

Johnny D. Goins, 59 of Vidor died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, TX. A native of Beaumont, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Johnny was a Iron Worker and enjoyed fishing, hunting and outdoor activities. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service was held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Stewart and Peggy Goins and his brother Carl Goins. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Theresa Goins, daughters Christy Paine and her husband Bryan, Katie Waters and her husband Seth all of Vidor, TX, brothers Jerry Goins and his wife Marilyn of Cove, TX, David Goins and his wife Marie of Vidor, TX, 4 grandchildren Brayden, Caleb, Kennady and Emma, numerous nieces and nephews.

Maudie Neeb

Maudie Neeb, 79, of Groves, died at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was a native of Caldwell, and a resident of Groves for 41 years. She retired as a department manager from Bruce’s Market Basket. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Neeb, Sr. of Groves; two daughters, Deborah Dengler of LaBelle, and Tammy Bateman of Houston; two sons, Jerry Neeb, Jr. of Vicksburg, MS, and Blane Neeb of Vidor; sister, Shirley Talash of Duncanville; two brothers, Joseph Schoppe of Houston, and Charles Schoppe of LaPort; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren

Edwin Riley Collins, 71, of Silsbee, died Sunday, April 29, 2018. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Julie Sealy of Silsbee; Sam Collins of Lumberton; Ricky Collins of Silsbee; Travis Collins of Silsbee; Alena Collins of Beaumont; Deana Collins of Lumberton; Curtis Louvierre of Sour Lake; Stephen Collins of Lumberton; Jarrell Collins of Lumberton; Devon Louvierre, Edwin Williford, and Louis Williford, all of Mauriceville; and Janice Evans of Houston.

Ernest H. “Ernie” Willey

Ernest H. “Ernie” Willey, 89, of Orange, died Friday, May 11, 2018, in Orange. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange. A native of Mauriceville, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pine Forest and the Orange County Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Winnie Willey of Orange; his children, Mike Willey of Hurst, Sam Willey of Orange, Sylvia Kitchen of Pearland, and Luther Willey of Bridge City; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Sylvia Smith

Sylvia Smith, 75 of Vidor died Monday, May 14, 2018 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor and a homemaker. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Love and Truth Church in Vidor. She is survived by her daughters, June Fields, Lori Smith, and Susan Hilyar, all of Vidor; sisters, Trevelyn Sheppard of Bonners Ferry, ID, Louise Burleson Mauriceville, Evelyn Vaughn of Vidor, and Louvisie Teems of Vidor; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Joseph “JD” Breaux

Joseph “JD” Breaux, 91, of Vidor, TX died Monday, May 7th, 2018 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, TX. A native of Jefferson Island, LA he was a longtime resident of Vidor. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. JD enjoyed square dancing, going camping and building bird houses. He also enjoyed listening to Blues music. Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. JD is survived by 2 sons; Ronnie Breaux of Wills Point, TX and Mark Breaux and his wife Glenda of Vidor, 5 grandchildren; Tommy Breaux, Kris Raab, Kelly Evans, Carla Perrio and C.J. Breaux.

Thad Lee Davis

Thad Lee Davis, 49, of Vidor, TX died Monday, May 7th, 2018 at his home. A native of Pt. Arthur, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor who worked at EPS for 25 years. He liked fishing and story telling and was known as being a jokester. Thad always had a smile on his face. He was very outgoing and never met a stranger. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5:30p. m. to 8:30 p.m. at Turning Point Church with dedications beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thad is survived by his fiance’ Danna Elder, parents; Teddy and Pat Davis and Joe and Vicky Benoit, children; Chase and Rachelle Davis, Candice and Joel Pena, Courtney and Jeremy Scheler, Beau Manuel, and Blake and Emma Manuel, siblings; Audra Davis, Vance and Anna Davis and Brittainy Davis and Austin Wilson, and grandchildren; Avery Davis, Chloe and Rylee Manuel, Austin and Clayton Proffit, Raylee Scheler, Aiden, Sofia, and Mila Pena.

Dorothy Marie Anderson, 86, of Vidor, TX died Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at her home. A native of Brookeland, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of New Life Assembly of God. She enjoyed going to church and devoted her life to the women’s ministry and service to others. Dorothy liked sewing, doing crafts, baking, and going antiquing but she especially loved to spend time with her family. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Dwelling Place with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Dorothy is survived by 4 sons; Henry Anderson, Jr and his wife Sherry of Vidor, Dwayne Anderson and his wife Michelle also of Vidor, Mark Christopher Anderson of Baytown, TX and Clifton Clarence Anderson, Sr and his wife Sherry Lee, 2 daughters; Glenda Marie Broussard of Vidor and Pamela Gail Anderson of Georgetown, TX.

Enola Dupuis McGown, 85, of Port Neches, died Monday, May 7, 2018. She was a native of Plaucheville, LA, was a resident of Port Neches for 68 years and a retired Custodian at Taft Ele-mentary with 26 years of service. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Burial followed at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Surviving relatives include her daughters, Sundra Stockholm of Kountze, Judy Thomas of Mauriceville, Bar-bara Murphy of Lum-berton, Connie Bourque of Savannah, and Lisa Daigle of Port Neches; sons, Kenneth Dupuis of Port Neches, Wayne Dupuis of Fannett, and Carl Dupuis of Groves; sister, Diona Sewell of Groves; sister-in-law, Bertha Meche of Port Neches; brothers, Harlan LaBure of Port Acres, Kirth LaBure of Groves; 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and daughters from her marriage to Art; Linda Brinkley of Nederland, and Brenda Noone of Nederland.
