KENNETH “KEN” GRAHAM GRIFFIN

Ken Griffin, age 54, of Lumberton, TX, went home to meet his Lord and Savior, Monday, October 28, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.

Ken was born December 20, 1964, in Beaumont, TX. He was a 1983 graduate of Lumberton High School, employed by Brown and Root at Dupont in Orange and an active, life-long member of Faith Baptist Church in Vidor, TX.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends the most. He also enjoyed the great outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.

Ken was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his faithful wife of 33 years - Gwinda Griffin, Daughters - Kendra Griffin, Kalie Guillory, Kaitlyn Griffin and Klaire Griffin. He is also survived by his parents Graham and Sandra Griffin, Sisters - Peggy Cothern, Donna Orta, 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ken is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he’s at peace with his creator.

Lottie Lou “Piddle” Holland, of Tyler, Texas, went to be with her best friend and LORD Jesus, this past Saturday, November 9, 2019.

Lottie was born on July 21, 1938 in Falfurrias, Texas, to Rev. Carroll and Lottie Griffith. The 4th of nine children. Lottie leaves behind her faithful and beloved husband of 45 years Brant Holland, along with 3 children, son, Jim Gentry and wife Susanne, their daughter Kim and grand-daughter Taylor, all of Waco; son, Karl Gentry and wife Mia of Flint; daughter, Karen Whatley and husband Rick, their sons Brandon and Parker, all of Flint; her brother George “Chunker” Griffith and wife Anita of Gilmer; her sister Elizabeth “Woogie” Brisby and husband Johnny of Waco; and multiple nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Andy Thomas Brisendine II

Andy T. Brisendine II, 38 of Lumberton died Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Beaumont, Texas, he was a longtime resident of Lumberton. Andy was a member of Turning Point Church in Vidor. He enjoyed working out and spending time with family and friends, he especially loved Bentley his dog.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and funeral services will start at 2:00 pm Friday, November 15, 2019 at Turning Point Church in Vidor.

Andy is survived by his parents Andy and Patricia Brisendine of Lumberton, TX, sister Kristi Stanley and her Husband Terry of Vidor, TX, brother Chad Brisendine and his wife Colleen of Allentown, PA, grandfather Archie Brisendine of Lumberton, TX, 6 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Thomas Houston Anderson III “NaNa”, 67, of Orange, TX died Thursday, November 7th, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He served his country in the U.S. Army and enjoyed fishing and raising livestock but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 12, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.

NaNa is survived by 1 daughter; Joy Courtier and her husband Jason of Little Cypress, TX, 2 sons; Tommy Anderson and his wife Shaelyn of Vidor, and David Anderson and his wife Heather of Ft. Worth, TX, 7 grandchildren; Chase, Dylon, J’Ana, Jonah, Rayne, Lane, and Shelbie. He is also survived by 1 sister; Laura Mistrot of Beaumont, 1 sisterin-law; Sissy Smith of Mauriceville, TX along with numerous nieces and nephews and his loving dog; Sandy.

Sylvia M. Yarborough, 78 of Vidor died Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at her residence. A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, she was a resident of Vidor for 8 years and was a longtime resident of Beaumont. Sylvia was a member of Turning Point Church in Vidor and was the manager of Rand Oil Convenience Store in Beaumont for years. She loved gardening, plants of all kinds, and beautiful flowers. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Sylvia was survived by her sister Shirley Holland of Iowa, LA, sons David Marks of Vidor, TX, Darrell Marks of Beaumont, TX, Bubba Marks of Vidor, TX and Michael Marks of Vidor, TX, daughters Angel Marks of Vidor, TX and Rene Warwick of Vidor, TX, 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

A good man has left this life. Norman D. Blackman passed away on October 31st, 2019. A native of Many, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Norman enjoyed driving his dune buggy offroad, flying his ultralight, and riding his motorcycle. He loved going fast. He was a retired partner with Carroll & Blackman, Inc.an engineering business . Norman was the current General Manager of Orange County Water Control & Improvement District #1 (OCWC & I Dist. 1).

Visitation was at 1:00 pm and funeral services were held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Howard LeRoy Greathouse Sr.

Howard LeRoy Greathouse Sr., 84 of Vidor, TX passed away at his home on November 2, 2019. Howard was a veteran of the US Navy and US Marine Corps, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the IUOE Local 450 for 45 years. He lived an active life enjoying family gatherings, poker night, casino trips, cruises, and working in his shop. Howard will celebrate his 59th wedding anniversary in Heaven with his beloved wife, Barbara.

Daniel “Dan” Richard Sr.

Dan Richard, 84 of Rayne, LA died Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 at the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings, LA. A native of Morse, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor and Lumberton, Before moving to Rayne, LA. Dan retired as manager of Rogers Brothers Optical and was a die hard Dallas Cowboy fan. He played in fast pitch softball and was a left handed pitcher. Dan served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His friend say he was a nurturing kind man.

Visitation was at 6:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside service was held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor.

Dan was preceded in death by his daughter Kristy Richard. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Norma Richard of Rayne, LA, daughter Sandy Jensen and her husband Dennis of Leakey, TX, son Daniel Richard Jr. and his wife Gracie of Los Cruces, NM, and 2 grandchildren Austin and Caleb Richard.

Renae Peveto Patterson, 70 of Mauriceville died Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 at her residence. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime resident of Mauriceville, TX. Renae was a retired hairdresser and enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. Cremation arrangements where entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home. Renae was preceded in death by her parents CV Pete and Joyce Peveto, son Wayne Patterson. She is survived by her sons Jeff Rash and his wife Johna of Mauriceville, TX, Darrel Patterson of Trinity, AL, daughters Salynda LeBoeuf and her husband Ralph Ochoa Jr. of Mauriceville, TX, Angelia Bryant of Town Creek, AL, brother James W. Peveto and his wife Ray of Beaumont, TX, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

James Patrick Theriot

James Patrick Theriot, 82, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away October 23, 2019.

He was born March 30, 1937 in Troup, Texas to Wilbert Anthony Theriot Sr. and Jane Elizabeth Henderson Theriot. He was third born of 10 children.

Pat graduated from Gaston High School in 1955 and received a BA in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1960. He began his teaching and coaching career in Winnsboro, Texas in 1961 and retired from Vidor High School in 1992. During that time. he was an English teacher, football and track coach, and driver’s education teacher. His greatest love was coaching track and field. One of the highlights of his career was directing the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas. He was also honored with an Outstanding Educator Award for Special Needs Children from Vidor I.S.D.

Pat attended St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for many years.
