Danny Carl Foux

Danny C. Foux, 72 of Vidor died Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Danny attended Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints and was an iron worker with Gulf Coast Machine Shop for 42 years before he retired. He enjoyed motorcycles, woodworking and fishing, but most of all he loved his family.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Del-Rose Cemetery.

WALTER ROWAN JORDAN

Walter Rowan Jordan, 73 of Vidor died Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Walter was a member of the Pipefitter Local Union #195. He was restoring a 1926 Model T Pickup and his family said he was a master of all trades, a real renaissance man. They also said he was a real gear head, he enjoyed hot rods, motorcycles and could fix just about anything. His family was in the drilling business for generations and he was a real family man. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Turning Point Church in Vidor with burial to follow at Daniel Cemetery in Kountze, Texas.

Wallace Royce Cogbill Sr.

Wallace Royce Cogbill Sr., 89, of Vidor, TX died Saturday, March 30th, 2019 at his home in Vidor, TX surrounded by his family. He was born in DePort, TX on Feb. 15, 1930. Wallace was a veteran of the 31st Infantry Division of the United States Army. He enjoyed being active in the Vidor VFW Post 8246. He was a respected member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association local 196 union for more than fifty continued years. Passing his knowledge and talent of this trade to his sons gave him great pride. He was instrumental in forming the Vidor Trail Riders Club and enjoyed spending time with his family working with horses and show animals. His life was dedicated to raising his four sons after the one and only love of his life and wife of 21 years, Mary Jo passed away. He became full time father, caregiver, advice giver, and spent many years corralling four boys, all with various personalities, toward their successful adult lives.

John Johnson

John Johnson, 78, of Vidor, TX, died March 29th, 2019, at his home surrounded by family. Originally from Orange, TX, he spent many years in Deweyville (Indian Lake), TX, moving to Vidor in 1975.

He was a welder by trade, working at a number of places over the years, including some offshore drilling work and even a short time overseas in Nicaragua. He spent several years in both Tennessee and North Carolina helping in the construction of power plants as well. He retired from Beaumont Machine Works in 2007.

John loved the Lord, and for most of his life worked as a laymen in the church filling in wherever there was a need. Over the years he drove several church bus routes and was the mechanic that kept them moving. John also loved preaching in the nursing homes as well. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church of Vidor,TX.

Emma Jean Ellis-Lamar

Emma Jean Ellis-Lamar, 90, of Vidor, TX died Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 at Vidor Health and Rehab. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of the Eastern Star of Vidor. Emma worked as a beautician and enjoyed cutting hair. She also enjoyed baking. Emma was the oldest living Monarch of both the Ellis and Mansfield families and loved spending time with her children, great grandchildren and family.

Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mansfield Cemetery.

Doc Walter Norwood

Doc Norwood, 84 of Orangefield died Monday, April 1st, 2019 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. He was a native and lifelong resident of Orangefield. Doc attended St. Helen’s Catholic Church and retired from U.S. Steel after 27 years as a welder. He enjoyed hunting, wood working, cooking and baking, but he loved to go around town to visit with friends.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Granger Cemetery in Orangefield.

Susan L. Ingle

Susan L. Ingle, 68, of Vidor, TX died Sunday, March 31st, 2019 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and enjoyed volunteering at school fairs and was a member of First Christian Church of Vidor for many years. Susan loved to cook and enjoyed watching T.V. and was known to be very devoted to her family.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years; Jack Ingle, Sr, 1 daughter; Brandy Bennett, 3 sons; Jack Ingle, Jr. and his wife Rebekah, Darren Bennett, and David Bennett all of Vidor. She is also survived by 1 grandson; Jack Ingle, III and 2 great granddaughters; Brooklyn Shae Byerly and Remmi Sherman along with many more grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Bonnie Carter and Vicki Cash and 1 aunt; Jane of Athens, TX. Susan was preceded in death by her parents; Leroy and Ruth Cash and 1 brother; Jason Cash.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

GREGORY NEIL STANLEY

Gregory Neil Stanley, 43, of Vidor, TX died Monday, March 25, 2019 in Missouri where he was assaulted, which lead to his death. He was a truck driver for many years, a job he truly loved. Gregory will be missed by his friends and family, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lantita Stanley; daughter, Christian Stanley; father, Glenn Stanley; stepmother, JoAnn Stanley; mother, Charline Anthony; brother, Tony Stanley; and older brother Adam Stanley.

Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, TX, Saturday, March 30 from 5-7pm.

Carlanne Taylor

Carlanne Taylor, 79, of Vidor, TX died Friday, March 29th, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of First United Methodist Church in Vidor. She was also a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. Carlanne enjoyed working in her garden and doing yardwork, working with many crafts and loved cooking. She volunteered for many years at the soup kitchen, served many Thanksgiving meals at the church and initiated the sack lunch program for homeless travelers.

Visitation was Monday, April 1, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Vidor. Interment followed at Del Rose Cemetery.
