SOLOMON EDGAR “S.E.” KIRKPATRICK

Solomon Edgar “S.E.” Kirkpatrick, Jr., 92, of Port Neches died Tuesday, December 25, 2018.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2018, at Broussard’s, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Alexandria Memorial Cemetery, Woodworth, LA.

He is survived by Patti Ruth Kirkpatrick Monk of Woodworth, LA; David Edgar Kirkpatrick of Baltimore, MD; Bobby Sutton of Vidor; John Edward Sutton of Warren; brother-in-law, S.L. Davidson of DeRidder, LA; seven grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren.

CLARA MAY MATTHEWS

Clara M. Matthews, 81, of Vidor died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Vidor Health and Rehab.

A native of Galveston, she was a longtime resident of Vidor.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Cowan and Jessica Hoffmann both of Trophy Club; son, Jay Wallace of Vidor; brothers, John H. Matthews of Jasper; Shannon Matthews of Austin; and six grandchildren.

WILBUR “BUBBA” GENE ROGERS JR.

Bubba Rogers, 44, of Mauriceville died Monday, December 24, 2018 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A native of Houston, he was a lifelong resident of Mauriceville and worked for TCT Air Condition Company as an air conditioning tech.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at The Cemetery in Mauriceville.

He is survived by his son, Coy Mason Rogers of Orange; father and mother, Wilbur and Ann Rogers; sister, Rita Caillier; fiancée, Gayle Sanders, all of Mauriceville.

In lieu of flower donation can be made to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Brenda Darlene Shelley

Brenda D. Shelley, 70 of Vidor died Tuesday, December 25th, 2018 at her residence.

She was a Lifelong resident of Vidor. Brenda was a member of Turning Point Church in Vidor and retired from Five Point Credit Union in Port Arthur. She enjoyed shooting pool.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 51 years Ewell Shelley of Vidor, TX, daughter Rhonda Parker and her husband Eric of Vidor, TX, sister Bonnie Wheeler of Beaumont, TX, Barbara Rutledge of Vidor, TX, and Pat Williams o Shawnee, Kansas, brother David Olsen of Beaumont, TX, 4 grandchildren Kourtney and Kierstyn James, Zachery and Zoey Parker.

Hattie “Loretta” Biegler, 79, of Vidor, TX died Friday, December 21st, 2018 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Vidor Loretta enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends and always meeting new people. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 60 years; Dale Biegler of Vidor, 1 sister; Barbara Stout of Vidor, 2 nieces; B.J. Jones and Patricia Jones and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Cleo and Geneva Spoonemore and 1 brother; Leon Spoonemore.

Jackey Ray Asher, 77, of Vidor, TX died December 18th, 2018 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. A native of Bourne, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching western movies. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Jackey worked with the Lumberton ISD in the maintenance department for many years. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, TX. Jackey is survived by 3 brothers; Earl Asher and his wife Patrica of Lumberton, TX, Robert Asher and his wife Barbara of Vidor, and Alfred Meyka of Vidor. He is also survived by 1 sister; Bobbie LeDoux of Vidor along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jackey was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Asher and his parents Clarence Asher and Louise Wilkins.

Della F. Hemmenway, 74, of Vidor died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at her residence.

A native of Livingston, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor and was a homemaker.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

She is survived by her husband, Barry Hemmenway of Vidor; daughter, Cindy Powell of Vidor; sister, Willie Pitman of Vidor; brother, James Loving of Chester; three grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Bobby R. Weisman, 71 of Walnut Hill, FL, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Vidor.

A native of Beaumont, he was a resident of Walnut Hill, FL, and a Korea War veteran of the U.S. Army.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Weisman of Walnut Hill, FL, daughter, Suzanne Gresham of Vidor; stepdaughter, Selena Hutton aof Pensacola, FL; stepson, Jason Phillips of Pensacola, FL; brother, Barry Weisman of Orange; and six grandchildren.

MELVIN COY CORBELLO

Melvin Coy Corbello, 86, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

He was a native of Beaumont.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Beaumont. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Survivors include his wife, Edna “Pick” Corbello; daughter, Brenda Strader of Beaumont; sons, Kent Corbello of Kountze and Doug Corbello of Beaumont; daughters, Monica Mireles of China; Melissa LaRocca of Montgomery; and Alice Doup of Mount Vernon, OH; son, Martin Corbello of Chicago, IL; daughter, Madonna Barry of Beaumont; son, Andy Corbello of Mauriceville; and daughter, Amanda Boutwell of Lumberton; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sheri Hargraves and of Winnie.
