Jerry Richard Croft

Jerry Richard Croft, 82, of Vidor, TX died Thursday, December 21st, 2017 in Beaumont, TX. A native of Kinder, LA he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Jerry retired from Southwestern Bell and liked to build things for people. He built homes, cabinets, staircases and was known as a “Jack of All Trades”. He enjoyed listening to old country and Bluegrass music and being outside but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Visitation was Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. with interment following at Singleton Cemetery in Vidor.

Myra “Diane” Foreman

Myra “Diane” Foreman, 57, of Vidor, TX died Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at her home. A native of Pt. Arthur, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of the Vidor Rocks Club. Diane worked for Entergy and retired after 33 years of employment. She liked gardening, amimals, rock painting and drawing but she especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Visitation was Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m.. Interment will be Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Mulberry Cemetery in Mulberry, TX. Diane is survived by her parents; Don and Marlene Belk of Ravenna, TX, 1 daughter; Christina Foreman of Vidor, 2 sons; Christopher Musick and his wife Brandie of Vidor and Benjamin Foreman of Beaumont, TX, 2 grandchildren; Abbigail Thomas and Christopher K. Musick. She is also survived by 1 brother; Jerry Don Belk, Sr, of Ravenna, 1 nephew; Jerry Don Belk, Jr.

Clara Anderson

Clara Anderson, 95, of Vidor, TX died Monday, December 18th, 2017 in Baytown, TX. A native of Orangefield, TX she was a longtime resident of Duncan Woods, TX. Clara was a cattle rancher and enjoyed deer hunting, crocheting and reading. She loved horses and in her younger years she was a barrel racer. Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Pecan Acre Baptist Church in Vidor with funeral services at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Stephenson Cemetery. Clara is survived by a son; George Anderson and his wife Andria of Orangefield, daughter-in-law; Carolyn Anderson of Baytown, 6 grandchildren; Melanie Mason and her husband Larry, Jared Anderson and his wife Dolly, Keli Zimmerman and her husband Chris, Alicia Wake and her husband Larry, Seth Anderson and his wife Carol, and Lauren Cox and her husband Kyle. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and 5 great-greatgreat grandchildren.

Louis Edward

Louis E. Stanley, 69 of Vidor died Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. Louis was a member Victory Temple Church in Beaumont and he retired from the Local Carpenters Union. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. with 2 tours in the Vietnam conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Louis enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved riding his Harley. Visitation began at 6:00 pm Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 18, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial following at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Louis is preceded in death by his father Royce Stanley and mother Anita Jones, brothers Richard and Michael Stanley, nephew Marcus Stanley.

Kyle Wilson

Kyle Wilson, 58, of Vidor, died Monday, December 18, 2017 in Beaumont. He was a longtime resident of Vidor and was a welder and a member of Pipefitters Local 195. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He is survived by daughters, Mandy Bowers, Melody Seamann of San Antonio, and Shawna Williford of Vidor; sons, Jeremy Wilson of Beaumont and Jared Wilson of Vidor, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Troy Wilson, Jr. of Vidor, Darrell Wilson of Lumberton, Dwayne Wilson of Vidor and Kevin Wilson also of Vidor; parents, Robert and Nelda Peacock of Vidor; and longtime companion, Katy Williford

Katheryn Louise “Kathy” Mevers

Katheryn Louisee “Kathy” Mevers, 71, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at The Medical Resort of Bay Area, in Pasadena, after an extended illness. She was a native of Jasper. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. She is survived by her husband, Leslie J. “Buddy” Mevers, Jr.; daughters, Tammie Ambriati of Hankamer, Lesley Moore of Atascocita, and Sarah Guin of Groves. She also leaves behind seven gr andchi ldren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Steven Martin of Vidor. In lieu of flowers, please make a Memorial Contribution in Katheryn’s name to The Humane Society.

Shirley Elizabeth Norine Minshew

Shirley Minshew, 78 of Orange, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Oklahoma City, OK, she was a longtime resident of Orange and was a retired meter reader with Gulf Coast Utilities. Funeral services were held Monday, December 18, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Stanley of Vidor; son, Ronnie Stanley of Bridge City; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Cindy Emmert, 60, of Nederland, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at home. A native of Pt. Arthur, she lived in Nederland for many years. She is survived by her husband, Steve Matlock of Nederland; daughters, Karen Gorham of Orange, and Jo Ann Emmert of Nederland; sons, Michael Emmert of Beaumont, and Russell Emmert of Hammond, LA; and 15 grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers; Andrew Broussard, Alan Broussard, Sr., Charlie Broussard and Kenneth Broussard.

A native of Kountze, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed traveling, dancing, sewing and crocheting blankets. She also love to spend quality time with her children and grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment at Warren Cemetery in Warren, TX at 1:00 p.m.. Charlotte is survived by 2 daughters; Vonnie Flowers and her husband Michael of Mauriceville, TX, and Beverly Holmes and her husband Clayton also of Mauriceville, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister; Melva Jo Ennis and her husband Royce of Silsbee, TX and 1 brother; Raleigh Cunningham of Houston, TX. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband; V.H.Waldrep.
