Kristi Ann Melonson

Kristi Ann Melonson, 46, of Beaumont, Texas, died Tuesday, August 11th, 2020 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Beaumont and was a strong member of Alcoholics Anonymous where she helped countless women to recover. She loved life, was at peace on the water, enjoyed going on vacations, and planning celebrations. Kristi’s visitation will be held Sunday, August 16th, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with her funeral service at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor on Monday, August 17th, 2020 at 10:00 AM. The graveside will be held at The Dorman Cemetery after the conclusion of the funeral service. She was preceded in death by her sister Kimberley Cox Trahan. She is survived by her husband of 20 years Wendell Melonson of Beaumont, TX, daughter Olivia Hatton and Jack Schutt of College Station, TX, step daughter Wendi Melonson of Houston, TX, step son Wendell Melonson Jr.

Director. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm. He enjoyed fishing, camping and golfing. Visitation began 6:00 pm Monday, August 17, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Houston National Cemetery at 1:15 pm. Scott is survived by his wife of 12 years Marjorie Smith of Bridge City, TX, sons Brian Smith of Orangefield, TX, Lee Peveto of Mount Belvieu, TX, daughters Jennifer Bergnic of Sabastian, FL and Meghan Smith of Bridge City, TX, 5 grandchildren

Dotty F. Mayea, 78 of Buna died Sunday, August 9th, 2020 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and Buna. Dotty was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home. Dotty was preceded in death by her husband Clarence James Mayea, parents Jasper and Ola Dryden, son-in-law Rowdy Kelly, grandson Justen Kelly, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Melba M. Whatley, 94 of Vidor died Monday, August 10th, 2020 at Vidor Health & Rehab. She was a native and longtime resident of Vidor. Melba was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, August 14, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Mansfield Cemetery in Vidor. Melba is survived by her son Timothy Whatley, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Barbara Renee Perez

Renee Perez, 41 of Beaumont died Thursday, August 6th, 2020 at Baptist Hospitals of South East Texas in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor, before moving to Beaumont 2 years ago. Renee was a Vidor High School graduate and was a homemaker. She loved to swim and do crafts. She also loved spending time with her family and was a good cook. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be announced at a later time. She is survived by her husband of 7 years Jose Perez of Beaumont, TX, daughters Selena West and Angelena Perez both of Beaumont, TX, parents Rapheal and Barbara Valdez of Vidor, TX, brothers James Joseph Valdez and Mark Anthony Chantzifotis of Vidor, TX.

Kimberly Ann Bagwell, 55, of Vidor died Friday, August 7th, 2020 at her residence. Kim was a longtime resident of Vidor and a Product Specialist for H.E.B. of 3 years. She enjoyed fishing on the lake, spending time with her family, dancing away the night with her friends, and BBQing on a Sunday afternoon watching her Texans football. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation was 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Memorial Fuenral Home. She is survived by her son, Charlie Vice, of Vidor, TX, two sisters, Amy Perkins of Vidor, TX, Tessa Cathey of Waco, TX and 4 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in honor of Kim.

Charles Richard Wilkinson Sr.

Charles R. Wilkinson Sr., 83 of Vidor died Saturday, August 8th, 2020 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston, TX. A native of Memphis, TN, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Charles was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and was a retired Electronic Tech for North Star Steel in Vidor. He was an avid H.A.M. Radio Operator and his call letters were KB5FE. Charles loved to golf and he served his country in the US Army. Visitation began 6:00 pm Monday, August 10, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services were held 10:00 am Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Charlene Wilkinson of Vidor, TX, children Charles Richard Wilkinson Jr. of Lumberton, TX, Wesley Coleman Wilkinson Sr. of Vidor, TX, Margaret Ann Hackney of Shelbyville, TX, Mary-Frances Lisa Jagoe of Orangefield, TX, brother Robert Lashlee of Collierville, TN, 18 grandchildren, and 41 great grandchildren.

Nedra Louise Womack

Louise Womack, 61, of Vidor died Monday, August 3rd, 2020 at Christus Dubuis Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Louise graduated from Vidor High School. She earned her Real Estate License and then went on to have a full career and retire as a mail handler from the United States Post Office. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Louise loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Louise, known as Mrs. Wezzie was loved by everyone that knew her. Louise was a kind, gentle, fun loving person and was sensitive to others. Her laugh was infectious, and she loved laughing and visiting with friends and family. Visitation was held Thursday, August 6th, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Her funeral service was Friday, August 7th, 2020 at 10:00 am at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with committal services following at 3:00 pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Apple Springs, TX.

Gary M. Smith, 64 of Vidor died Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Gary was a member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor. He was an avid deer hunter and loved spending time with family and friends. Gary was a member of the Local Carpenters Union and was a self employed carpenter contractor. Visitation began 6:00 pm Friday, August 7, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were held 10:00am Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Joe Bob May, 84 of Vidor died Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Winnsboro, Texas, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Joe Bob was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor and was a retired Fire Fighter/District Chef at Fire Station House #1 in Beaumont. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. Joe Bob also enjoyed the Rodeo, camping and southern gospel music. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Vidor. Joe Bob is survived by his daughters Julie Boyett, Jo Lynne Sonnier, Penny May and Samantha McCarty all of Vidor, TX, son Eugene "Vic" Victor May of Port Neches, TX, sister Billie Thomas of Vidor, TX, and Betty Smith of Beaumont, TX, brothers Jerry May and Tommy May both of Vidor, TX, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
