HELEN MARIE DOUCET

Helen Marie Doucet, 90, of Orange, TX, passed away on June 12, 2019, at her home in Orange. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2019, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City, TX. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. She is survived by her children, Connie Broussard of Orange, Mary Kelley of Orange, Theresa Clark of Hillister, Fred Doucet of Mauriceville, Loretta Cagle of Bridge City, Rebecca Drake of Hillister, and Dr. Dan Doucet of Corpus Christi; her sister, Leola Prejean of Jennings, LA; along with her 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-greatrandchildren. The family has requested that no flowers or plants be delivered to the services.

PEARCE ABLE BLAND II

Pearce A. Bland II, 60 of Vidor died Friday, June 14th, 2019 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Pearce was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor and was a mechanic for South Eastex Auto Sales in Vidor for 4 years. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 21, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Pearce is survived by his wife of 22 years Patricia Bland, son Pearce Able Bland III, daughters Paige and Patsy Bland all of Vidor, TX, brother Lannie Sanders of FL.

Glen Rose, TX Ruby Seaman, long-time resident of Vidor and Beaumont, TX passed away at her residence in Glen Rose, TX on June 11th, 2019. She is survived by her son, Kevin Seaman of Granbury, TX, two grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, along with many loved relatives and friends. A memorial service was held Sunday, June 16th at Fairview Baptist Church, 3025 FM 92 S, Woodville, TX 75979. Flowers and remembrances were handled by Riley Funeral Home in Woodville.

Jonathan Blake Sirmons

Blake Sirmons, 25 of Vidor died Sunday, June 9th, 2019 in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Blake was a 2012 graduate of Little Cypress -Mauriceville High School. He was a rigger and was a boilermaker with Elite Turnaround Specialist. Blake enjoyed racing cars and boats, but most of all he loved spending time with his son and friends.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Turning Point Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 14, 2019 at Turning Point Church with cremation to follow.

BARBARA “BARBIE” DEE NICHOLS

Barbie Nichols, 75, of Vidor died Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, TX. A native of Cleveland, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Barbie was a member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor and was a retired cafeteria worker with VISD. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and gardening. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Barbie is survived by one grandson, one granddaughter, one niece and one nephew.

Juanita Jane “Toni” Leflett

Juanita Jane “Toni” Leflett, age 75, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at her home. Toni was born June 2, 1944 in Bremerton, Washington to Harold Chester Perry and Mabel Elaine Manion Perry.

Toni was a member at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha. She was a retired Certified Medical Aide. Toni enjoyed all kinds of crafts, shopping, gardening, bowling, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Buster” Leflett; her parents; and four brothers, Butch Perry, Bob Perry, Timmy Perry, and Johnny Perry.

Vanice “Bubba” H. Lott

Vanice “Bubba” H. Lott, 66, of Brookeland, TX died Friday, June 7th, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. A native of Jasper, TX he formerly lived in Vidor, TX before making his home in Brookeland for the past 17 years. Bubba served his country in the U.S. Navy during Viet Nam. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding and working on motorcycles. He was a true outdoorsman but he especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Lott Cemetery in Hemphill, TX at 1:30 p.m.

Dale Slaughter

Dale Slaughter, 65, of Beaumont, died Wednesday June 5, 2019. He was welcomed into this world on May 16, 1954, to Barbara Ann West and Ted H. Slaughter.

Dale is survived by his wife, Monique Slaughter; his daughter, Stacy Ann and her husband, Alex Cardenas; daughter, Samantha Shea and her fiancé, Brian Johnson; and his grandchildren Christian and Lauren Cardenas. Dale is also survived by his brothers, Ricky L. Slaughter, Brooks Goodhue, and David Slaughter; Ted’s wife Carolyn Slaughter; his uncle Jessie Fillingame; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews all of whom he loved very much.

Dale was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Dale is lovingly remembered for his genuine personality, his ability to put people at ease, and his witty sense of humor. He loved the sea, good music, classic cars, and shirts with pockets. Above all else, he loved the time and memories he had with this family.

Donald Wayne Wilkerson

Donald Wayne Wilkerson, 75, died Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native and longtime resident of Vidor, TX he was a heavy equipment operator for many years. Donald loved to cook, especially for Destiny and Nana, working on and tinkering with old cars, going fishing and watching Western movies. Donald was known to also be a great story teller.

He is survived by 1 daughter; Molly Huff, 3 sons; Doug Williams and his wife Amy, Johnny Wilkerson and his wife Janice and Lee Wayne Wilkerson and his wife Tammie, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers; Mike Wilkerson, Harvey Wilkerson, and JW Wilkerson. Donald was preceded in death by his wife; Karen Lynn Wilkerson, father; James Gober Wilkerson, mother; Maxine Brodnaux, and 2 brothers; Marvin Wilkerson and Neil Wilkerson.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
