Lester Burdette Keller

Lester Burdette Keller, 67 of Vidor died Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Vidor.

A native of Culbertson, MT, he lived in Vidor for the past five years.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of VIdor.

He is survived by his sons, Matthew Keller of Kentucky, Luke Keller and Chaz Keller both of Montana; daughters, Christena Trousil of Spicewood, and Ginny Woodhouse of Montana; a sister, three brothers and 13 grandchildren.

Jimmie Carrol McManus

Carrol McManus, 62 was born Santa Rosa, California to James and Mary Jenkins on July 4, 1956. She passed away November 13, 2018 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A lifelong resident of Vidor, she was formerly employed by Wal-Mart. Carrol was known and loved by many people and touched their lives in many special ways. Survivors include Charles Estes of Vidor, TX, step-children Tammy Chapman and Frank Estes of Vidor, TX, and Theresa Catano and her husband Jose of Mauriceville, TX, 6 grandchildren Kristen Catano of Austin, TX, J.R. Mancil II of West Monroe, LA, Joseph Catano of Beaumont, TX, Daniel, Ray and Blaine Estes of Vidor, TX, 7 greatgrandchildren J.R. Mancil III, Jolynn Lopez, Presley Homin, Jody Mancil II, Alaina, Kohen and Easton Estes, and her loving dog Boo. Carrol was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Jenkins, husband James Rusty McManus, son Robert Douglas Stokes, and daughter Sandra Renee` Williamson.

Carl James LeBoeuf

Carl James LeBoeuf of Conroe formerly of Vidor was called to his heavenly home on November 16, 2018 with his loving wife by his side.

He was born September 24, 1941 in Port Arthur,TX to Wallace and Rosita LeBoeuf.

He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1960. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1961-1964. And retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in 2002 after 34 yrs of service. Carl also served on Vidor City Council for several years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, extensive traveling, the Astros and the Texans, and his precious grandchildren.

Lewis Dean Oldbury

Dean Oldbury, 89 of Vidor died Thursday, November 15th, 2018 at his residence in Vidor. A native of Aline, OK, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Dean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor. He was a painter with International Union of Painters local #130. Dean enjoyed working in his shop, barbecuing and gardening.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services was held at 10:00 am Monday, November 19, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor with burial following at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Ginger Loftin

Ginger Loftin, 76, of Vidor, TX died Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Tampa, FL she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Some of the things she enjoyed doing was listening to music, loved dancing, going fishing and mowing her grass.

Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with her funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

Ginger is survived by 3 daughters; Pam Loftin of Vidor, Cindy Anderson also of Vidor, and Bobbie Patin of Lumberton, TX, 1 grandson; Brad Anderson and 1 granddaughter; Kelby Loftin. Ginger was preceded in death by 1 son; Johnny Loftin and 1 grandson; Garrett Patin. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Richard Lee Dugas

Lee Dugas, 69 of Jennings, LA, died Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings.

He was a veteran of the US Army.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

He is survived by his son, Michael Shan Dugas of Sumter, SC; daughter, Constance Minnich of Sinclairville, NY; brothers, Harry Dugas of South Lake, Charles Dugas of Alvin, Lyndon Flynn of Lumberton, Roy Dugas of Port Acres, Lloyd Flynn Jr. of Vidor, and Michael Flynn of Vidor; sisters, Helen Shelton of Vidor, and Susan McCullar of Vidor; five grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter.

James Thomas (JT) Simmons

James (JT or Tom) Thomas Simmons, 76, of Vidor, and St. Ignace, MI, died Friday, November 16, 2018 after a long illness.

He was a native of Sault Ste. Marie, MI and lived in Simmons Settlement, Mackinac County, MI, before moving to St. Ignace. He was a Detective Sargent with the St. Ignace Police Department and the Liaison Officer with the Governors Commission Drug and Alcoholism for the State of Michigan. He worked as an iron worker with Iron Workers Union Local 125 for 15 years and as program director for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and Alvin Community Hospital. He was a co-owner of Genisis Health Management and retired in 1996.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service is planned at a later date in Michigan.

Barbara Ann Greathouse

Barbara Ann Greathouse, 75, of Vidor, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Greathouse, Sr; daughters, Sheila Greathouse Woods and Melissa Phillips; and son, Howard Greathouse, Jr. of Vidor; sisters, Linda Nordstrom of Houston and Bobbie Walles of Vidor; eight grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Mary “Piggie” Hollier Briggs

Mary “Piggie” Hollier Briggs, 89, of Nederland died Friday, November 16, 2018, in San Augustine.

She was a native of Port Arthur.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

She is survived by sons, Jeff Briggs of Groves, Jody Briggs of Vidor, Johnny Bob Briggs of Orange, Martin Briggs of LaBelle, and Patrick Briggs of Fannett; daughters, Bridget Hartje of Bertram, Beth Merren of Port Neches, Bonnie Briggs of San Augustine and Mary Kay Boudreaux Nederland; 22 grandchildren, 35 greatgrandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Ed Kelley, Sr.

Ed Kelley, Sr., 54 of Vidor, died Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospital in Houston.

A native of Orange, CA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

He is survived by daughters, Rhonda Johnson of Vidor, Emma Suffle’ of Blythe, CA, and Ashley Simmons of Vidor; sons, Justin Kelley of Madison, WI, Edward Kelley, Jr. of Vidor and Dennis Kelley of Vidor. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; his mother, Sharon Valasquez of Burbank, CA, two brothers and two sisters.
