Eugene Egulf

Eugene Egulf, 60, of Vidor, passed away Friday February 27, 2015 at Christus Dubuis Hopsital in Beaumont. He was a loving son to his mother. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was recently baptized at the Turning Point Church of Vidor. He was preceded in death by his father, Haines Egulf and halfbrother, Jim Childress. He is survived by his mother of Vidor, Joyce McGlothlin; girlfriend, Penny Cade of Vidor; brothers, Ernest Egulf and wife Karen of Mauriceville, James Egulf and wife Darlene of Vidor and sister, Wanda Verner of Vidor. There are no planned memorials at this time.

Jo Ann Prejean

Jo Ann Prejean, 60, of Vidor died Saturday, February 28th, 2015 at College Street Health Care Center in Beaumont. She was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Jo Ann was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor and was a special gift from the Lord, she was born with special needs in 1954. Her family was told that her life expectancy would be brief; however, she lived 60 years, and blessed many with her loving and sweet life. She was a joy to visit with and brought smiles and laughter to all those who knew her. A funeral liturgy outside mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm and a rosary at 7:00 pm Monday, March 2, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Joseph Louis Hollier

Joseph Louis Hollier, 55, of Vidor, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at his home. Memorial services were held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Bible Baptist Church in Vidor. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Alleman and his father, Joseph Hollier. He is survived by his wife, Tina Hollier; daughter, Tracy Reynolds and fiancé, Bobby Strong of Vidor; son, Bobby Reynolds and wife, Dawn of Orange; grandchildren, Nathaniel Mooney, Daniel Reynolds, Lane Wright, and Sydney Wright. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Alleman of Rayne, LA; sister, Patricia Comeaux of Rayne, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Ben D. Vaughn, Sr.

Ben D. Vaughn, Sr., age 92, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Beaumont, TX. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday 4, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Vaughn was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 10, 1922 to the late Frank and Ida Long Vaughn. He was a retired welder with the Local 195 Pipefitter’s Union after 60 years of service. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and a member of the Rose City Baptist Church. He enjoyed shrimping and was an avid gardener, raising beautiful camellias. Ben loved his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Edith Odeal Vaughn, a son Ben D. Vaughn, Jr., grandson Steven Vaughn, brothers; Pat and Ray Vaughn and a sister Virginia Smith. Survivors include son, Terry Vaughn and his wife Evelyn of Vidor, TX and a daughter Cheryl Obrien and her husband Terry of Vidor, TX.

Stephen Thomas McDaniel

Stephen Thomas McDaniel, 58, a former resident of Conroe and a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area passed away on Saturday February 28, 2015 in Orange. Steve was born in Houston on February 7, 1957 to his parents John Wilson McDaniel and Willie Bee McDaniel who preceded him in death, along with his wife Frona Rachelle McDaniel, 3 siblings, and his step-father who raised him, Richard Allen. Steve retired from Exxon Mobil BMP. He is survived by his daughter Marie Collins, son, Stephen McDaniel, brothers, Dickie, Max, Jimmy McDaniel and wife Edye, Johnny McDaniel and Lee Ann, Carl McDaniel and wife Mary Katherine, Steven Allen and wife Karen, Robert Allen and wife Debbie, sisters, Oleta Westfall and husband Stewart, Kaitlyn and Patty Allen. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Lillian, Victoria, Trenton and Bryson McDaniel,Carson, Carter and Christian Collins. Visitation will be held on Friday March 6, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service time of 1:00 p.m.

Vicky Williams, 67, of Vidor died Sunday,March 1, 2015 at her residence. A native of Houston, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 10:00 pm Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with cremation to follow. She is survived by her sons Scotty Davidson of Vidor, and Trey Williams of Lumberton, daughters Nicole Brack of Vidor, Brett Johnson of Houston, and Brandy Davidson of Vidor, father John Safar of Vidor, sister Gwen Safar of Vidor, brothers Don Safar of Dallas, and Joe Woods of Houston, 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Maxine Anderson Conley

Maxine Conley, 76, of Vidor died Monday, March 2, 2015 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Trinity County, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. She is survived by her brother Charles Edward Anderson of Brookshire Village, and sister Joy Dupie Hidalgo of Vidor.
