Ethel Louise Wright Smith

Ethel Louise Wright Smith, 84, died Friday, October 16th, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Vidor who enjoyed going camping, reading, doing crossword puzzles and making a home for her family but she especially loved to spend quality, loving time with her grandsons. Ethel is survived by 2 sons, James Smith, Jr. and wife Becky, Gary Smith and wife Karon, 2 grandsons, James Smith III and wife Susan and Justin Smith and wife Jennifer all of Vidor. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, Jacob and Annabelle Smith and a brother, James Wright of Cheek, TX. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, James “J.D.” Smith, Sr., 3 sisters and 6 brothers. A rosary service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015 with visitation to follow from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.

Annie Fae Lynn Bellot

Annie Fae Lynn Bellot, 64, died Thursday, October 15th, 2015 in Beaumont. She was a lifelong resident of Vidor and a member of Winfree Baptist Church. Annie loved to go shopping at the Salvation Army, Goodwill, and Dollar Store. She also liked to sew, go camping, swimming, enjoyed cooking and watching the cooking channel and she liked to text and talk on the phone too. Annie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Wilton Bellot of Vidor, son, Elton Lynn and wife Tracie of Vidor, 4 grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by a sister, Dora Lynn Garrett and husband M.A. Garrett of Orange, and numerous neices and nephews. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Elton Lynn and Lucy Fae Weaver, and a sister, Ruby Mae Lynn. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.

Robert “Bob” Durmon

Robert “Bob” Durmon, 79 died Friday, October 16th, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. A native of McGee, Arkansas, Bob was a longtime resident of Rose City, Texas who liked the outdoors, working in his garden and raising animals. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Durmon, daughter, Vickie Echols and husband David of Vidor, son, Ricky Durmon and wife Pat of Vidor, daughter Brenda Hess and husband Charles of Cameron, Texas, and daughter, Patricia Stebbins and husband Kenny of Groves, Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Jerry, David, and James Durmon, and 1 sister, Dean Rossi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noal and Ruby Durmon, 2 sisters, Dot Sowel and Doris Boutwell. Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

Cecil James “C.J.” Bonin

Cecil J. “C.J.” Bonin, 83, of Vidor died Monday, October 12th, 2015 at his residence. A native of Amelia, TX, C.J. was a longtime resident of Vidor. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Basilica in Beaumont and was a machinist for Mobil Oil when he retired in 1987. C.J. was a world class champion skeet shooter and was a member of the Orange County Gun Club, he was also a member of the 1 and 100 Gun Club. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:30 pm and a Christian vigil at 7:30 Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. C.J. is survived by his wife of 63 years Jeanie Bonin, daughter Penny Medley and her husband Gary, brother Ronnie Bonin and 2 grandsons James and Alan Medley.

Milton Crawford

Milton Crawford, 73, of Vidor, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was humorous, loving and caring. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He adored his wife and accepted her children as his own. He was a wonderful man. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Rowena Crawford; sister, Fay Buckhalter and  brother, Donald Wayne Crawford. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jeanette Crawford of Vidor; sons, Curtis Bowman of Vidor, Keith Bowman and wife Jenna of Lumberton;  daughter, Phyllis  Bowman of Vidor; siblings, Billy Crawford, Michael Crawford, Carolyn Quigley and Margaret Ann Devall and four grandchildren, Lacie Bowman, Angel Odom, Brent Strother and Amanda Strother. His family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Iley Max “Red” Oxley

Iley Max “Red” Oxley, 77, of Vidor died Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at his residence after a short battle with cancer. A native of Kurthwood, Louisiana, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Max worked at the Evadale Paper Mill from 1967 - 2003 when he retired. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. Max’s interest were woodworking, basketball, baseball, bowling, gardening and coaching kids baseball. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 16, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Virginia Ruth Barnett

Virginia Ruth Barnett, 80 of Vidor, Texas passed away on October 10, 2015 in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on July 25, 1935 in Houston, Texas to the late James Loly Brazzil and Ann Oleta Waters  Brazzil. Virginia is survived by her husband, James E. Barnett of Vidor, Texas; sons, James R. Barnett, Sr. and wife Nina of Alvin, Texas, Donald E. Barnett and wife Carolyn of Vidor, Texas, John K. Barnett and wife Theresa of Midlothian, Texas and Robert M. Barnett and wife Connie of Vidor, Texas; daughter, Patricia Attaway and husband Jay of Vidor, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Barnett, Ryan Barnett, Lisa Jones, Cody Barnett, Brandon Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Gregory Barnett and James Neathery; three great-grandchildren; nephews, Clay and Jason Brazzil. Virginia is preceded in death by her brother, James Clayton Brazzil and her grandson, James Ray Barnett, Jr. Virginia’s family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.

W.B. “Bill” Yarbrough

W.B. “Bill” Yarbrough, 84, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He was a native of Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16,2015 at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Vidor. He is survived by his daughters, Connie Beaumont of Pearland, Mary Ann Jones of Virginia, and Mary Frances Wilson of Vidor; sister, Maxine Cooper Laird; sister-in-law, Dorothy Yarbrough; six grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren
