Ella Mae Wilkerson

Ella Mae Wilkerson, 85, a lifelong resident of Vidor died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in Silsbee. Funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her son, Lavoy Wilkerson of Beaumont, five grandchildren, and seven  great-grandchildren.

Altie Webb

Altie Faye Webb, 77, of Brookeland has died. A native of Brookeland, and a former longtime resident of Orange, she had lived  the past 20 years in Brookeland,. She was a homemaker,  A celebration of herlife was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015, with a gathering  of family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Stringer  & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.  Survivors include her husband James Webb of Brookeland; two sons Mike Webb of Orange, TX and Ronnie Webb of Mauriceville; six  grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Patricia M. Flores

Patricia M. Flores, 74, died on Friday, June 12th, 2015 at her home. She was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed doing craftwork and traveling. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Jerry Flores, 3 sons, Roger Wilkins and wife Kari of Tacoma, WA, David Wilkins and wife Renee’ of Vidor, and Jeff Flores and wife Angela of Vidor, 2 daughters, Kathy Davis and husband Brian of Sulphur, LA, and Mechelle Fowler of Vidor. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Richard “Wes” Harrell

Richard “Wes” Harrell, Sr., 61 of Diana, Texas and formerly of Vidor, died Saturday, June 13th, 2015. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan who enjoyed cooking outdoors especially  on the BBQ. Wes loved to spend quality timewith his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Betty of 43 years, son, Richard Harrell, Jr. and wife  Geraldine of Sulphur, Louisiana, grandson Jack Harrell, and 3 brothers, Carl Harrell, Jr., Earnest Harrell, Sr., and Michael Harrell. Wes was preceded in  death by his parents, Carl and Betty Harrell. Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment  to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Edna Clary Phillips

Edna Clary Phillips, 85 died Thursday, June 11th, 2015. She was a proud lifelong resident of Vidor who volunteered her time and love at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont for 20 years. Edna loved to travel and was very devoted to  her immediate family and extended family. She had a litttle dog named Roscoe whom she also loved very much. Edna is survived  by 2 sons, James W. Phillips, Jr. and wife Janeen of Mauriceville  and I.B. Phillips and wife Jeanne of Vidor. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Robert Phillips of Vidor, Amy Phillips Reeves and husband Chris of Groves, Melissa Phillips Wood of Beaumont, Alison Phillips Smith of Nederland, Misty Rountree Ferguson and husband Jason of Pt. Neches, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, sister, Doris Clary of Vidor, and her little dog Roscoe. Edna was joined in death by her longtime companion Richard Ames.

Hilda Cormier

Hilda Cormier, 75, a longtime resident of Vidor died Saturday, June 12th, 2015 at her home. She belonged to many organizations including Our Lady of Lourdes Senior Club and Money Counters, Sears Retiree Alumni, Fibromyalgia Support Group, the Cajun Choir and Cajun Club, Spirit of Hope Fellowship and the Legion of Mary Support Group. Hilda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Curtiss Cormier, 2 daughters, Susan Bruno and husband Jerome of Beaumont, Margaret Cormier of Rayne, LA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Victoria Buffington of Port Barre, LA, David and Michelle Bruno of Beaumont, Virginia and Vanessa Cormier of Rayne, LA, and 4 great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jada, Basil, and Annabelle. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.

Everett Charles Call

Everett Charles Call passed away Wednesday, April 29th, 2015. Born April 27, 1938 in Rockford, IL to parents Everett Carter and Emma Gertrude Call. Everett, known as Charlie, is survived by his two children David L. Call of Vidor, TX and Lisa J. Call of Keller, TX and two grandchildren David L. Call Jr. and Olivia S. Clapham. At a very young age, Charlie relocated with his family to Texas and obtained all of his education in the Vidor/Beaumont area, including two separate degrees in Engineering from Lamar University (Electrical and Chemical). Charlie worked for a number of different employers, but his longest service was at the Arco Polymers plant in Port Arthur and then later retiring from NASA in Houston. … He is also survived by his brother Texas M. and wife Norma J. Call of Wimberley, TX. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Williamson Cemetery of Vidor, with a gathering at Pappadeaux’s in Beaumont starting at 1pm.

Ruth Wood

Ruth Wood, 90, of Vidor died Monday, June 8th, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Matagorda County, Texas but lived in Vidor for the last 56 years. Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Thomas A. Wood, brother, George R. Ward and daughterin- law, Virginia Drake Wood. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Donna Bowen Wood Brown of Vidor, 2 sons, Bobby F. Wood and wife Jan of Diboll, Texas and Larry C. Wood of Vidor, daughter, Patsy Ann Hetzel and husband Albert of Vidor, sister, Julia Stewart of Kirbyville, and sister-in-law, Rose Marshall Ward of Lufkin. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren . After retiring from Weingarten Food Store after 26 years, Ruth went to work for Wal- Mart in Vidor where she worked for 31 years. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.

Patsy Sue Manuel

Patsy Sue Manuel, 79, of Beaumont, died Monday, June 8, 2015, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was a native of Sugartown, LA, she had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Garza of Vidor; Karen Singletary of Garland; and Lisa Manuel of Beaumont; son, Terry Hamilton of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Betty Hust, of Beaumont; brother, H.E. Garlington, Jr., of Grant, LA; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Broussard’s, Beaumont, with her graveside service following at 3:00 p.m., at Sugartown Cemetery, Sugartown, LA.

Myra Williams

Myra McDonald Williams, 58, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was a native of Kirbyville, and lived most of her life in Southeast Texas. She worked at Porter’s Flooring of America for over 10 years. Survivors include her mother, Essie Marie Lee of Buna; step-brothers, Bill Lee II of Tulsa, OK, and Paul Lee of Nederland; and step-sisters, Joanne Whitten of Orangefield and Stella Godbold of Tomball. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at 4:00 p.m. at Swearingen Cemetery between Fred and Warren, Texas. Donations may be given to Buna Public Library in memory of Myra, or any charity of your choice.
