Linda Faye Kuritz

Linda Faye Kuritz, 66, of Lumberton, passed away, Tuesday, September 22, 2015. She was an active member of the Nazarene Church of Vidor. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and shing. She was a great cook. She loved to get together with family and play chickenfoot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Odell Stephenson; brothers, Haywood Brodie and Rogerdale Stephenson. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Rudolph Karl Kuritz, Jr. of Lumberton; children, Lisa Felps and husband Jimmy of Village Mills, Russell “Rusty” Crawford and wife Donna of Spurger, Krystal Slott and husband Robert of Nederland and Karla Erwin of Vidor; grandchildren, Ashley, Joni, Travis, Heather, Nina, Roman, Chance, Lacy, Kassie, Dustin, Cody, Cane, Nastasha and Josh and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Leora Lewis Kittrell

Leora Lewis Kittrell, 93, of Orange, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in Groves. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. She was a native of Orange, and was a secretary, a bookkeeper, and a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Barbara Granger Eatman of Orange and Hugh L. Granger of Orange; step-children, Loraine Moses, of Gulf Shores, AL, Karen Kay Turner, of Vinton, LA, Sheila McInnis of Bridge City, Gerald Kittrell, of Cleveland, and Sam Kittrell, of Orange; three grandchildren; as well as 26 step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; 49 step-great-grandchildren; and 13 step-greatgreat -grandchildren

Betty Webber Gaskey

Betty Webber Gaskey, 81, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was a native of Beaumont and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Her graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September, 23, 2015, at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont. She is survived by her daughters, Jolynne Teutsch, of Vidor, Mary Kay, of Vidor, and Sue Fuller, of Beaumont; granddaughter, Amy Boyd, of Vidor; greatgrandson, Logan Boyd, of Vidor; brother, Felix C. Lexie Rose Tarkington

Lexie Rose Tarkington, 78, of Lumberton, formally of Vidor, died Monday, September 7, 2015. She worked most of her life in advertising. A memorial service was held September 19, 2015 at 4:00 p.m at Lumberton Family Funeral Home Lumberton. She is survived by her son, Rick Nichols of Houston; sisters, Janelle Rice of Lumberton, Veta Stark of Lumberton, Deborah Creekmore of Village Mills, Darlene Sims of Village Mills; brothers, Dave Gallier of  Lumberton, Danny Gallier of Onalaska, Herbert Gallier of Onalaska and three grandsons.

Edna Lou Huncharek

Edna Lou Huncharek, 59, a longtime resident of Vidor died Sunday, September 20, 2015 in Beaumont. A gathering of friends will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. She is survived by her daughter, Acacia King of Vidor and four brothers, Ronald Olsen, Donald Olsen, John Olsen, and David Olsen. She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Will Gifford, III

William C. “Will” Gifford, III, of Leander and formerly of Vidor, died on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Cedar Park, Texas due to injuries received in an auto-pedestrian accident. Will was born May 31, 1978 in Elgin, Illinois. He moved to Leander six months ago and prior to that had lived in Vidor for most of his life. He graduated from Vidor High School in 1997 and was employed as a Superintendant for J.J. Flannagan Stevedores. Will loved to watch the Texas A&M Aggies and the Chicago Cubs. Will is survived by his parents, Joe and Patti Braneff of Vidor; his father, William Gifford, II, of Baytown; his fiancé;, Kelsey Suggs of Leander; grandparents, Estil and Mary Braneff of Vidor, Darlene Molenda of Wheeling, Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. William Gifford, Sr. of Baytown; and numerous other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life service for Will will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Turning Point Church, 3600 North Main, Vidor, Texas 77662.

George “Bo” Noeller

George “Bo” Noeller, 55, of Vidor died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Prairie Grove, AR. he was raised in Shawnee, OK. and has lived in Vidor since 2006. Bo served his country in the US Army National Guard from 1978 - 1988. He was a member of the American Boer Goat Association. Cremation Arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia “Lori” Noeller. He is survived by his daughter Lacey Georgette Noeller, stepdaughters Jessica Lynn Wooten Denegall and Sherry Kathleen Noeller, sisters Corrina Keith Brown, Morgan Keith Taylor, and Shana Keith Ward; half sisters George Keith-Brooks, granddaughters Jade Lynn Newland and Jasmine Marie Newland, several nieces and nephews. George was an avid fisherman and hunter but one thing he loved the most were his and Lori’s goats. They began raising and breeding goats which eventually led to showing them.

David Allen Jackson

David Allen Jackson, Sr., 49, fell asleep in death on Friday, September 4, 2015 after fighting a long-time illness. David was born February 4, 1966 in Beaumont, TX to his parents Robert E. Jackson, Sr. and Sandra Kay Jackson. David dedicated his life to serving Jehovah God by water baptism on May 28, 1983. He was a graduate of Little-Cypress Mauriceville High School. In 1990, he completed his vocational training as an electrician from the JATC Electrical Apprenticeship Program in Nederland, Texas. He was a long-time employee of Newtron, Inc. and went on to become the Electrical Supervisor for Oil Tanking Beaumont for 15 years. David married Marian Renee Jackson on March 26, 1988 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Nederland, TX. They shared 27 loving years together. He was a devoted husband and father, a genuinely kind, loving, and generous man who willingly helped anyone in need.

Christopher “Chris” Mark Longmire

Chris Longmire, 33, of Vidor died Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 at his residence. A native of Bossier, Louisiana, he was a longtime resident of Vidor and Austin. Chris was a 2000 graduate of Vidor High School. He was a member of the White Cane Association and the Blind and Deaf Association. Funeral services was held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City. Visitation began at 6:00 pm Friday, September 11, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home.
