Joyce Edith Egulf McGlothlin

Joyce Edith Egulf McGlothlin, 83 died on Monday, June 22nd, 2015. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor. Joyce worked as a pipe welder and retired from Bethlaham Steel and was the first woman to be inducted into the Pipefitters Local 195. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by 2 sons, Ernest Egulf and wife Karen of Mauriceville, and James Egulf and wife Darlene of Vidor, daughter, Wanda Beth Varden, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Eugene Egulf and Jim Childress. Visitation was held Thursday, June 25, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to be at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Jewel Denson McGowan

Funeral services for Jewel Denson McGowan, 95, of Warren will be 11:00 am Monday, June 29, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Richardson Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. McGowan passed away June 24, 2015 near Colmesneil. A native of Big Sandy, Jewel was longtime resident of Warren. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by parents Samuel James and Elva Freeman Denson, husband Nathan Charles McGowan, Jr.; daughter Doris Elva Rogers and sisters Lucy Howell, Eva Shandley, Lois Seaman and Lillian Hoffman. Survivors include sons Tom McGowan of Beaumont, Wayne McGowan of Warren of Dwight McGowan of Tyler; daughter Jean Moffett of Birmingham AL; grandchildren Tommy D. McGowan, Greg McGowan, Paige Knowles, Kevin Moffett, Lemay Moffett, Nathan Walter McGowan, Amanda Gail McGowan, Jared McGowan, David Monteaux, Jr., Chad Monteaux, Lisa Moore, Amy Powers and Jeremy Wayne Lockerman. Harrison Wesley Wylie Jr.

Harrison Wesley Wylie Jr., 66 died Wednesday, June 24th, 2015 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor who worked a horse trainer and was an avid Houston Astros baseball fan. Harrison loved to fish, play golf and the Texas A&M Aggies. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He is survived by 3 brothers, Henry Wylie and Warren Wylie, both of Vidor, and Bobby Wylie and wife Diane of Buna, 3 sisters, Patricia Whitmire of Beaumont, Bonnie Stephenson and husband Karl of Vidor,and Mary Tinsley and husband Larry of Kirbyville, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison, Sr. and Olive Wylie, and a nephew, Wade Whitmire. Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
