George “Bo” Noeller

George “Bo” Noeller, 55, of Vidor died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Prairie Grove, AR. he was raised in Shawnee, OK. and has lived in Vidor since 2006. Bo served his country in the US Army National Guard from 1978 - 1988. He was a member of the American Boer Goat Association. Cremation Arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia “Lori” Noeller. He is survived by his daughter Lacey Georgette Noeller, stepdaughters Jessica Lynn Wooten Denegall and Sherry Kathleen Noeller, sisters Corrina Keith Brown, Morgan Keith Taylor, and Shana Keith Ward; half sisters George Keith-Brooks, granddaughters Jade Lynn Newland and Jasmine Marie Newland, several nieces and nephews. George was an avid fisherman and hunter but one thing he loved the most were his and Lori’s goats. They began raising and breeding goats which eventually led to showing them.

David Allen Jackson

David Allen Jackson, Sr., 49, fell asleep in death on Friday, September 4, 2015 after fighting a long-time illness. David was born February 4, 1966 in Beaumont, TX to his parents Robert E. Jackson, Sr. and Sandra Kay Jackson. David dedicated his life to serving Jehovah God by water baptism on May 28, 1983. He was a graduate of Little-Cypress Mauriceville High School. In 1990, he completed his vocational training as an electrician from the JATC Electrical Apprenticeship Program in Nederland, Texas. He was a long-time employee of Newtron, Inc. and went on to become the Electrical Supervisor for Oil Tanking Beaumont for 15 years. David married Marian Renee Jackson on March 26, 1988 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Nederland, TX. They shared 27 loving years together. He was a devoted husband and father, a genuinely kind, loving, and generous man who willingly helped anyone in need.

Christopher “Chris” Mark Longmire

Chris Longmire, 33, of Vidor died Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 at his residence. A native of Bossier, Louisiana, he was a longtime resident of Vidor and Austin. Chris was a 2000 graduate of Vidor High School. He was a member of the White Cane Association and the Blind and Deaf Association. Funeral services was held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City. Visitation began at 6:00 pm Friday, September 11, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Printess Albert Sammons

Printess Albert Sammons, 81, of Buna died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 at Village Creek Nursing Center in Lumberton. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, Sept. 18, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Restlawn Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 Friday at the funeral home. A native of Louisiana, he had lived in Buna 13 years and was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator with Local 450. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Sammons of Buna; son, Mike Sammons and wife Donna of Buna; daughter, Penny Harris and husband Mike of Buna; a brother, Carroll Sammons and wife Marie of Buna; a sister, Geneva Fulcher and husband Alvie of Coldspring; and 5 grandchildren, Tanner Harris, Rachel Harris and husband Russell Stoneback; Erin Harris, Brad Gilbreath and Kayce Gilbreath.

Albert Eaves

Albert Irvan Eaves, 71, of Rochelle, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 at Brownwood regional Medical Center in Brownwood. A native and longtime resident of Gist, he had lived in Rochelle since 2004 and was a lifelong cowboy. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Eaves Cemetery. He is survived by his children, Ronald Eaves of Pasadena; Lacy Beaver of Buna; and Logan Eaves of Osyka, MS; brother, Dennis Eaves of Mauriceville; special friend, Sandra Julian of Rochelle; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Verla Mae Droddy

Verla Mae Droddy, 85, of Hartburg, died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Oakwood Manor Care Facility in Vidor. She was a native of Clarksville, AR, and was a lifelong resident of Hartburg. Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 13, 2015 in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Rite of committal and interment followed the services at the King Cemetery in Hartburg. Survidors include her twin sons, Don Droddy of Searcy, AR and Ronnie Droddy of Hartburg; her sister, Betty Ann Sellars of Hartburg; four grandsons, three granddaughters and four step-granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

Patrica “Lori” Lorainne Owens Noeller

Patrica “Lori” Lorainne Owens Noeller was born on February 9, 1968 in Oklahoma to J.T. and Gwen Owens. She is preceded in death by a half sister, Kelly Owens and half brother, Joey Owens. She is survived by her husband, George Noeller, her parents, J.T. and Gwen Owens, a brother, Todd Owens and wife Shelly, nieces Hannah and Madeline, sister, Julia Espinoza and nephews, Johnny and Jestyn Espinoza, and sister Tammy Goodman and husband Ronnie, nieces Erran and Gwyneth and nephew Jake, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lori was a employee of Time Warner Cable for 23 years where she gained another family. She was not a woman with a lot of hobbies or interests. One thing she held dear to her heart were her goats. Lori and George started raising and breeding goats which eventually lead to showing them. They loved it so much and met so many wonderful people that Lori’s main dream was to help kids of all ages.

Will Gifford, III

William C. “Will” Gifford, III, of Leander and formerly of Vidor, died on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Cedar Park, Texas due to injuries received in an auto-pedestrian accident. Will was born May 31, 1978 in Elgin, Illinois. He moved to Leander six months ago and prior to that had lived in Vidor for most of his life. He graduated from Vidor High School in 1997 and was employed as a Superintendant for J.J. Flannagan Stevedores. Will loved to watch the Texas A&M Aggies and the Chicago Cubs. Will is survived by his parents, Joe and Patti Braneff of Vidor; his father, William Gifford, II, of Baytown; his fiancé;, Kelsey Suggs of Leander; grandparents, Estil and Mary Braneff of Vidor, Darlene Molenda of Wheeling, Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. William Gifford, Sr. of Baytown; and numerous other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life service for Will will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Turning Point Church, 3600 North Main, Vidor, Texas 77662.

Roy Edward “Ed” Pearce

Roy Edward “Ed” Pearce (Hebrew name: Rohi Ezra Perez) a locksmith and musician died unexpectedly on September 4, 2015 at the age of 54. Ed is survived by his mother Betty Ames; his step-mother, Glenda Pearce; his wife, Anette Pearce; his children, David, Margaret, and Rachel Pearce; his siblings, Ronni Upchurch, Ted Pearce, Jim Pearce, Chris Pearce, and Scott Pearce; his granddaughter Alice Pearce; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, his dog. He is predeceased by his father, T. Roy Pearce; his grandmother, Amanda Smith; and his grandfather, W. L. Smith. Ed was born in Beaumont on December 21, 1960 to T. Roy Pearce and Betty Ames. From an early age, he enjoyed music, laughter, and fellowship. He was a spiritual man and was involved in many church activities at Bat-Zion, including playing with several worship bands during services and sharing his talent through teaching.
