Margie Ray Linscomb Cropper

Margie Ray Linscomb Cropper was born January 7th, 1932 in Vidor, Texas. She passed Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Ulma Linscomb; and her husband, Ernie Cropper, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brother and three sisters. Margie is survived by her son, Steve and his wife Deborah, of Vidor; a grandson; Joseph and his wife, Julie and their three children from Lumberton, TX, her granddaughter, Jewelann, and her husband, Justin and their son, Cropper Ray Cournoyer of San Marcos, TX. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. During her career she worked as Vidor City Secretary at the Vidor Tax Office and also worked at the Orange County Water Dept. She was active at the Baptist church where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member. She also volunteered at Oak Forest Elementary. Her cremation is entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

James J. Kelley

James J. Kelley, 65, of Vidor, TX died Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Wichita Falls, TX he was a longtime resident of Vidor. James was a mechanic for Trinity Railcar in Vidor for many years and enjoyed going to the VFW hall with his friends. James is survived by his wife; Sharon Kelley of 46 years, 2 sons; Blue Kelley of Vidor and Rickey Dale Kelley of Mcamey, TX, 4 grandchildren; Tamra, Dakoda, Ceira, and Kyle, and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by his mother; Pauline Chamblis, 2 brothers; David and Kevin, and 1 sister; Janet. James was preceded in death by his father; Ralph Kelley. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

Verda Day

Verda Day, 80, of Vidor, TX died Thursday, March 15th, 2018 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, TX. A native of Houston, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a member of Victory Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, sewing, cooking and going to church. Verda also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by 1 daughter; Pamela Day of Vidor, 3 sons; Willie Day and his wife Danette, Tavis Day, and Byron Day and his wife Renee, all of Vidor. Verda is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 sisters; Minnie Gustafson, Ethel Teal, and Laura Odom. She was preceded in death by her husband; Willie Edward Day, 1 son; Tommy Day, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

Audrene Click

Audrene Click, 87, of Vidor, passed away on March 15, 2018, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A graveside service was held 10:00am, Monday, March 19, 2018, at Restlawn Cemetery in Vidor. Officiating was Pastor George Gau of Turning Point Church in Vidor. Visitation was from 5:00pm - 8:00pm, Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Born in Snyder, Texas, on April 29, 1930, she was the daughter of Willis Clement White and Jessie Leslie (Ingram) White. Audrene was an avid gardener and cooked the best vegetables. She was a strong Christian woman who was truly God’s servant. She was a very active member within Turning Point Church. Audrene helped to deliver food to the elderly up until Harvey as a part of the Lunches of Love program. Before she was a member of Turning Point Church she was a member of Westwood Bible Church for 60 years before they closed. She was a very active, vibrant and independent person.

Linda Margaret Bailey

Linda Margaret Bailey, 70, of Vidor, TX died Thursday, March 15th, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. A native of Newton, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor who liked reading, gardening and sewing, but she especially loved playing with her grandchildren. Visitation was held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services were Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Linda is survived by her loving husband; Willis Bailey of 28 years, 2 daughters; Pamela Durham and her husband Jeff of Lake Jackson, TX, and Brandi Concienne and her husband Wes of Dallas, TX, 1 son; Robert William Dunn and his wife Kristen of Mt. Pleasant, TX, 8 grandchildren; Justin Ellis, Kaycee Ellis, Kourtney Payne, Jordan Durham, Brianna Concienne, Landon Concienne, Logan Dunn and Coen Dunn, and 7 great grandchildren.

Chester Earl Fowler

Chester Earl Fowler, 85, of Vidor, TX died Monday, March 12th, 2018 at his residence. He was born on August 25th, 1932 in Winters, TX and was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed watching football on T.V., especially the Dallas Cowboys. Mr. Fowler served in the U.S. Army from January 6, 1951 until December 5, 1953. He was wounded in Korea when his tank was destroyed by enemy fire. Mr. Fowler worked for Lear Siegler for many years. Prior to his retirement, his employment provided him the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time in foreign locations. Mr. Fowler spent his remaining life among family and friends in Vidor. Visitation began Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A graveside service was held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park. Chester Earl Fowler, 85, of Vidor, TX died Monday, March 12th, 2018 at his residence. Linda Lee Wright Faveros

Lee Wright Faveros, 66, of Beaumont died Monday, March 6, 2018 at her residence. She was a native of Akron, OH. Survivors include her daughters, Delia Gonzales Simons, Henryetta Gonzales Galaviz, Kisstal Killough all of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Miguel Gonzales of Dallas, and Mathew and Bruce Killough of San Antonio; two sisters, Gloria Fields of Camden, TN, and Brenda Arellano of Vidor; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
