Debra Wilcox Bodine Wactor

Debra Wilcox Bodine-Wactor, 57, of Nederland, TX died Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at her home. A native of Beaumont, TX she was a longtime resident of Vidor who enjoyed working with flowers and loved going to the beach. She was known to be a hard worker and raised her 3 children. Visitation was held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Del Rose Cemetery. Debra is survived by her husband of 30 years; Tommy Wactor, 1 daughter; Heather Cheyenne Marlow, 2 sons; Joshua Mark Bodine and Jeremy Jackson Bodine and his companion Ashley all of Vidor, 11 grandchildren and parents; Tommy Sr. and Delores Wilcox of Vidor. She is also survived by 2 sisters; Cynthia Worth and her husband Ronnie of Vidor and Paula Horton and her husband Glen of Beaumont, 3 brothers; Tommy Wilcox, Jr, Ronnie Wilcox and Stephen Wilcox all of Vidor, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucy Bass “Nell” Williams

Lucy “Nell” Bass Montell, 96, of Montell has died. A native of Fordyce, AR, she was a longtime resident of Mauriceville and homemaker. A funeral service was held Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Campwood Baptist Church. Interment followed on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Nacogdoches Sunset Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Phil Williams; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Tettleton.

Mary Frances Freeman

Mary F. Freeman, 84 of Mauriceville died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Chester, she was a lifelong resident of Mauriceville and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Lester Freeman of Mauriceville; daughter, Wanda Fae Freeman Seago of Mauriceville; son, Benny Alton Freeman of Kirbyville; sisters, Willie Pitman and Della Hemingway, both of Vidor; brother, James Troy Loving of Chester; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Steven Knapp

Steven Knapp, 48, of Winnie died Friday, September 14, 2018 at Christus St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he lived in Winnie for many years. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Holstien of Winnie; sons, Shane Steven Knapp of Joplin, MO, and Jonathan Knapp also of Joplin; granddaughter, Adallee Allaynne Knapp; sister, Missy Elaine Smith of Round Rock; brother, Earnest Paul Knapp of Vidor; and father, Robert Ling also of Vidor.

Joe Canizales, Sr.

Joe H. Canizales, Sr., 85, of Groves died Tuesday, September 11, 2018. A native of Cameron, Texas on March 12, he retired as a supervisor with Onyx. Survivors include his sons, Joe Canizales, Jr. of Port Neches, Johnnie Canizales of Groves, and Steve Canizales of Beaumont; his daughters, Sandra Perez of Castroville, Rosalinda Thomas of Florence, KY, Aran Rapsch of Salt Lake City, UT, and Elizabeth Batchelor of Vidor; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Amelia Daniels, Isabel Flores, and Susie Marcum; and brothers, Paul Canizales, Arthur Canizales, and Rudy Canizales. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment followed at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.

Wesley Allen Hampshire, 39, of Brookeland, TX died Tuesday, September 10th, 2018 at his home. A native of Galveston, TX he was a former resident of Vidor. Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing but he especially loved to spend time with his daughter. Visitation will be Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a graveside service at Del Rose Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Wesley is survived by his loving wife of 9 years Shelia Hampshire, 1 daughter; Marie Hampshire lovingly known as “Boogie”, 3 brothers; Sammy Hampshire, Jr, Bobby Hampshire and Bradley Hampshire, 8 sisters; Mary Burton, Donna Rogers, Crystal Rogers, Shannon Rogers- Chastain, Lori Sharp, Glenda Hampshire, Susan Hampshire and Lynette Williams, and his mother; Madeline Rogers of Vidor. Wesley was preceded in death by his fathers; Sammy Hampshire, Sr. and Donald Rogers and 3 brothers; Brian Hampshire, Billy Hampshire and Bruce Hampshire.

Patricia “Patsy” Ann Galaviz, 68, of Vidor, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, she was a longtime resident of Vidor and worked as a florist. She is survived by her husband, David Galaviz; sons, Robert Eric Black and David Patrick Galaviz, both of Vidor, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Jimmie Charles Sprinkle, 62, of Vidor, died Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Beaumont. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor. He is survived by his sons, Darrell Sprinkle of Beaumont and Richard Sprinkle of Vidor; and one grandson. He is also survived by brothers, Oliver Sprinkle, Daniel Sprinkle, Samuel Sprinkle and Walter Sprinkle; and sisters, Nancy Sprinkle and Joyce Milstead.

A native of Jasper, she was a longtime resident of Vidor.
She is survived by her son, James Burns of Vidor; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Lott and Robert Biscamp and sister, Winnie Fuller.

Cynthia Lee Dillard, 66, of Vidor, died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at her home.
A native of Carbondale, IL she was a longtime resident of Vidor.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Samuels of Vidor and Angela Simon of Beaumont; son, Justin Aaron Dillard of Vidor; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
