Jerry Fowler

Jerry Fowler, 59, of Vidor, TX died Monday, September 24th, 2018 at his residence. A native of Beaumont, TX he wasa long time resident of Vidor who likedhunting, fishing, watching softballand riding on hislawnmower. He especially enjoyed spending time withhis family and friends. Jerry is survived by1 daughter; Renea Fowler of Vidor, 1 son; Thomas Fowler ofKY, 3 grandchildren; Justice Fowler, Hanah Lawrence and Kari Blume, 2 sisters; Brenda Dyche andher husband Kevinof Vidor and Martha Boone also of Vidor. Jerry is also survived by 2 nieces; Sierra Dyche and Natasha Boone, 1 nephew; Damian Boone, and 2 best friends; Wayne Cleveland and Linn Myers. He waspreceded in death byhis parents; Harveyand Maxine Fowler. Cremation arrangements wereentrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jerry is also survived by 2 nieces; Sierra Dyche and Natasha Boone, 1 nephew; Damian Boone, and 2 best friends; Wayne Cleveland and Linn Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents; Harvey and Maxine Fowler. C r e m a t i o n arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

KENNETH GREGG LUQUETTE

Kenneth Gregg Luquette, 51, of Orange, died Monday, September 24, 2018, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He was a native of Beaumont, a US Marine Corps veteran and he was an electrician with IBEW Local #479. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018, at Broussard’s, Beaumont. A private committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. He is survived by his wife, Miste Luquette, of Mauriceville; son, Kenneth Blake Luquette of Sour Lake; daughters, Ashlee Broussard of Port Neches, Chelsea Williford of Mauriceville, and Alexus Monceaux of Bridge City; stepsons, Dawson Denman, Scout Denman, and Logan Denman, all of Mauriceville; father, Victor Kenneth Luquette and his wife Anita of Beaumont; mother, Sylvia Ann Luquette of Beaumont; and four grandchildren

62, of Vidor died Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, she was a longtime resident Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Bailey Cemetery in Vidor. She is survived by her daughter, LeAnn Mooney; son, Paul Bailey Jr.; granddaughter; mother, Jean Johnson, brothers, Charles Johnson and Roger Johnson; sisters, Shelia Lewis, Charla Miller, and Nadine Reed.

Ronnie Lynn Holden Sr.

Ronnie Holden, 63, of Vidor died Saturday, September 22, 2108 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Ronnie was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. He was a tank builder and enjoyed hunting. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Ronnie is survived by his brother J.W. Holden Jr. of Vidor, TX, sisters Mary Britain of Many, LA, Linda Nelson of Oklahoma, Brenda Butler of Vidor, TX, Kay Davis of Woodville, TX and Rita Dorn of Vidor, TX. He was preceded in death by his son Ronnie Lynn Holden Jr..

Woodrow “Smitty” Wilson Smith

Woodrow W. Smith, 97 of Vidor died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at his residence. A native of Lamerle,  he was a longtime resident of Vidor and was a heavy equipment operator. He was a World War II veteran of the US Army. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial following at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. He is survived by his daughters, Lenora Holst of Vidor, and Rose Mathews of Beaumont; son, Larry Smith of Cedar Park; 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Charles “Charlie” Jessel

Charlie Brown, 6, of Port Acres died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was a native of Boaz, AL, but was raised in Port Acres and attended school at East Chamber Elementary in Winnie. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a graveside service to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor at 3:00 p.m. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Power of Deweyville; father, Justin Brown of Port Acres; brothers, Colton Cash Brown of Port Acres, and Gage Ray of LaBelle; sisters, Phedre Le-Anne Power and Gwenyvere Elise Power both of Harvest, AL, Evangeline Ray of LaBelle, and Skyler Watkins of Vidor; grandparents,  Lisa Boyer of Harvest, AL, Curtis Gifford of Billings, MT, Pam Brown of Port Acres,  and Barry Thibodeaux of Port Acres; and greatgrandmother, Martha “ Memaw” Anderson of Beaumont.

Romie Robert Frazier, Jr.

Romie Frazier, 76 of Vidor died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his residence. A native of Charleston, WV, he was a longtime resident of Vidor and retired from Hydraulic Air and Repair as a first class machinist. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at New Hope Cemetery in Warren. He is survived by his wife, Carroll Frazier of Vidor; sons, Carlton Richburg of Jasper, and Bobby Frazier of Vidor,; daughters, Brenda Boyd of Sour Lake, and Cathy Conner of Warren; brother, Donald Frazier of Hurricane, WV; sisters Gladys King of Scottsdale, PA, and  Gibson of Snellville, GA; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis Patricia Jackson

Phyllis Patricia Jackson, 82, of Mauriceville, TX died Friday, September 14th, 2018 at her home. A native of Pueblo, CO she was a longtime resident of Mauriceville who enjoyed doing ministry work and loved taking care of her family. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehova Witnesses in Vidor. Phyllis is survived by 4 daughters; Deborah A. Smith, Barbara Jackson, Connie Jackson, and Tammy Strickland and her husband Frankie all of Mauriceville, 3 sons; Carl Jackson and his wife Stacy of Vidor, Mark Jackson and his wife Donna also of Vidor, and David Jackson of Mauriceville, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters; Barbara McNeely, Thetis Souza, and Donna Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband; Connie Jackson and son; Michael Jackson.
