VISD names Jana Cash Employee of the Month

By Sally Andrews

Jana Cash was nominated by all seven campus principals as Employee of the Month for September. In emails from each campus, she is touted as patient and helpful, solving some amazing technology upgrade issues over the summer and training teachers to be the best in their fields using technology. Pine Forest principal Bunny Adams says, “I received an email a couple of weeks ago from Mrs. Cash that was timestamped 2:10 AM stating that our student rosters had been imported into IStation. This was important because teachers were receiving training that very day on the program, and they were able to set up classes and make real progress.”

Knosts Honored

Vidor Rotary Club recognized Jo and Greg Knost as Pillars of the Community for their many volunteer efforts in Vidor. The Knosts have spent a great amount of time, effort, and resources in the formation of Conn Park, where the Vidor Barbecue Festival is located. They hope to see eight tournament ball fields go in there. They have also been active in the Vidor Chamber of Commerce and other areas. Their family was on hand at the Rotary meeting to congratulate them. They are pictured with Vidor Rotary Club president Karen Tipton.
