Jefferson County Zena Sheriff Stephens took Weston on a helicopter ride, then presented him with a swat helmet, a patch, and a challenge coin. There were over one hundred law enforcement officials on hand to celebrate with Weston.

U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) issued the following statement after presenting the Vidor Independent School District Police Department’s Honorary Captain, Weston Keisler, with an American flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol in his honor, as well as a challenge coin. Weston is an 11-yearold boy who has been diagnosed with Giant Axonal Neuropathy – a terminal illness. He is one of only 68 in the world with this disease.
