$25 million Vidor flood grant slipping away

Time has almost run out for the City of Vidor to qualify for a $25 million dollar flood mitigation grant that would go a long way toward alleviating areas of neighborhood flooding. The only catch is that 80 percent of residents must complete an anonymous survey for the city to qualify, So far, only about half the required number of surveys have been completed. Without that 80 percent of completed surveys, the city has little to no chance of qualifying for the $25 million.

In order to qualify, all it takes is for Vidor residents to fill out a short, anonymous form.
