The Vidor Police Department honored two longtime Vidor Police Explorers for the faithful service to the Department’s Explorer Scout Program during the June 11th Vidor City Council meeting at Vidor City Hall.

According to Vidor Police Chief, Rod Carroll, Senior Police Explorers Adriana Roque and Isaiah Lewing, both recent graduates of Vidor High School were recognized in front of the Vidor City Council with Milestone Awards for their long and faithful participation and service in the Vidor Police Explorer Program. The Police Chief said that while the Milestone Awards recognize the two graduating seniors’ efforts to learn about law enforcement and recalls each of the Explorers’ individual community service efforts made on behalf of the Vidor Police Explorers, the public recognition is also a reward for two young adults whose senior year in high school was interrupted by the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
