Vidor ISD tells students to stay home

VIDOR ISD tells students to stay home following Spring Break. The Vidor ISD issued the following statement Monday evening advising students to not return to classes following Spring Break due to the coronavirus threat.

"In anticipation of a Disaster Declaration of Emergency, classes will be cancelled for Vidor ISD when we return from Spring Break. We will put out information regarding a flexible education program in an effort to keep student instruction moving forward beginning early next week. The situation will be reassessed on Friday, April 3rd. Administration will be working carefully over the next several days to prepare instructional material and meals for students. Your child’s teacher will communicate with you early next week to let you know of their class expectations. There will be more information forthcoming with regard to details. Please follow our social media formats as well as our district website for continuing information. More specifics will be released to students, parents and staff later this week."
